All of Andrew Murray's books are awesome. I have a collection of most of his books and I have to say he diffenently was a man of God. What he said then still applies to the Church today. I was so surprise to read such truth that It's really startling to discover how many Born Again Christians don't even have a clue that there is so much more than just the born again experience. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is not active in every Christian life today because many Christians don't know that He is within them but they have never sought Him on how He can be active in their life today. We speak of gifts of the spirit. How can one really achieve the gifts without the Holy Spirit working in their life. We serve in the Church but we work in the flesh to the best of our ability, but we lack the power to move and bless others as God would have us do. Many pastors and ministers and teachers have failed to speak in detail of how one is to go about seeking God for the greatest gift to mankind. So few Christians really understand the Spirit of God and His purpose in our lives today. Go back to the book of Acts and you'll see what the power of the Holy Spirit can do in your life and others. God did not save us to sit quiet in a nice church; He called us out for a purpose, to serve mankind to spread the Good News with power from on high ( the Baptism of the Holy Ghost ). God said study to show yourself approve.........Andrew Murray teachers with Scripture and prayer....Seek out the Gospel truth for yourself you won't be disappointed , and for those who know, it will stir your spirit to grow deeper in Christ our Lord.

Murray wrote some of the best work there is on the power of the Holy Spirit.
