Cute and Functional
This is actually my second on of these to purchase. I love mine at home so much I purchased a second to keep in my office. It works perfectly with the app (easier than my dittopro for some reason). It took a while to figure out how to get it set up the first time around, but totally worth the effort.

They Are Such Fun I Ordered a 2nd One!
The media could not be loaded. These make fabulous decoration for your home or office. Note the video I shot fails to do the image quality and vibrance justice, but it may give you an idea. I bought one and then could not resist grabbing a second one after enjoying the first. Honestly, it took me a while to figure out the menus and uploading images and videos for my personal enjoyment and for the community to view. When you get to the drawing screen, it is quite simple as you just find the little icon for adding a photo or video (a short one) and it does the magic of making it fit and be the proper format. Another approach is to enter into the world of Pixel Art and draw you creation from scratch and animate it - a great learning experience for the future film maker or just plain tech geek. I am totally satisfied and may even get a third one. Honestly I would love 4 in a row with scores, weather, images, videos etc. There is a whole community with this device, cranking out many new images and videos each day for your enjoyment. You can have three pre-set "slide shows" which are great for holidays or any event. At this price, grab ONE. lol You will love it, but have patience and learn to use it's features - use youtube, etc. to learn.

Pleasantly surprised!
This thing is actually worth it, which surprised me. I already have a weather station display, but the clock on it is too small, so this unit provides a much larger display, and in a fun way, with 5-day forecast on at least one of the pixel clocks. The key for me was to put this unit where it's not right in front of me, which would be way too distracting. I put it on top of my tall display cabinet, only 6 inches from the ceiling - so I have to look up and to the left of my chair to see it, which works out perfectly. I use the setting where various clock designs change after a minute, which is the setting that is least annoying. There are a lot to choose from and most of them are quite stupid and childish, so I limited the selection to the ones that actually provide useful information and don't have silly, always-in-motion animations. One exception: I added the 'Cloud' channel to the mix of clock/weather designs that switch around every few minutes, because the 'Recommended' setting of the Cloud channel displays some modestly interesting pixel designs that I usually don't mind seeing when they catch my eye. After all, it's a pixel display and it has a TON of pixel art, so that's how I make use of it in that way: it cycles through clocks & weather, then plays Cloud channel pixel art for a minute, then back to the top. It's not like all the stuff on the Cloud channel is good; most of it is ridiculously juvenile, and "Happy New Year" designs still playing in March, and WAY too much of the pixel art is too feminine and childish for a man cave type of usage - but some of it is fairly well-made; just barely enough good ones to let me keep the Cloud channel as part of the rotation. And remember, this thing is almost touching the ceiling and to my left, so I don't see it unless I look - so I don't mind seeing the silly useless stuff like jumping rabbits or kids hugging with hearts flying out when I randomly look at it, since I know it'll switch to more mature, useful designs in a minute. The unit is very well made, easy to set up, and worth the price. I enjoy having it around to look at the time, temp, and forecast. The pixel art is often pretty bad & irritating, but it does have an early 90's retro feel which has some charm to it, and if it gets on your nerves after a while, you can get rid of stuff like that.

Best gift i’ve ever given :)
Got this as a gift for my moms office and it was pretty easy to connect it and get it started. It isn’t too big and doesn’t make it look cluttered. The app has great art and the option to make your own slideshows. It was expensive but I think it was worth it for how much it is used :)

The required cell phone app is hot garbage
Look, the thing is fantastic once you get your images/gifs on it, but getting there is the most monumental pain in the ass.You have 2 options to get images/gifs onto this thing. The app, or load up the SD card ahead of timeGetting pre-existing images into the app is a nightmare. Not to mention that the app is trying WAY TOO HARD to be a social media platform. It is really stupid. You have to create a new image in the apps version of MS paint, that is where you can import images from your "camera". From there you can select images from your phones internal storage. To get a gif into the app you have to switch the editor to animation mode then import the gif. You cannot get more than 100 frames when doing this. Also it does not care what your gifs animation speed was, it forces you to use a stupid slider to reconfigure the gifs speed again. And because the slider is hot garbage, you will never get the speed to be exactly what it was originally. You could put gifs with more than 100 frames on the SD card. But if you want the gif to loop more than once, you have to duplicate the frames in your gif and make it twice as long, because the only option you get when you play from the SD card, is "play once". There is no way to upload anything to the card from your PC or phone, you have to remove the card every time you want to change anything. The option to play from the card is buried in the device settings, not even in the normal playback screen. There is no way to get the device to play from the card at startup by default. In fact anytime the thing loses power, you have to re-connect to it with your phone and tell it what to display. There are several settings on what to play on startup, none of them work.YOU HAVE TO RECONNECT TO YOUR PHONE EVERY POWER CYCLE.and the only way to do that is via wifi...which only supports 2.4g....in 2022So you have an outdated wifi protocol being forced upon you, just so you can get the stupid thing to show images/gifs.Trying to navigate the app and all it's cringy social media bull crap. There are hundreds of apps that do pixel art better. All the app should be is a playlist generator. The device should not need an always on internet connection. And there is no reason not to be able to upload pics/gifs directly to the SD card from the phone or pc via the USB cable.EDIT: Dropping stars. I have tried different cards and different power supplies. the device keeps either crashing or resetting. It will play gifs from the card for a few hours and then just stop. It looks like it got rebooted, but it did not play the startup animation. It appears to be looking for gifs in a "channel" to play, but I purposefully have all my channels blank, because I want it to play from the SD card not from the internet.I have a support ticket open, but from what I hear about their support, I am not hopeful. This may be getting returned.
