I like the idea of this, especially for a PS4 controller to enable microphone use, but after two units DOA I will be returning for a refund.I am able to connect another known good microphone and voice command function works as designed so I know it is not the controller. It is a faulty GINTOOYUN microphone.

If you want a low profile mic without cables this works for those needs. You will need all audio through the monitor to hear game and voice chats. Testing it with players they say it is loud and clear.

This mic didn't work, it was DOA. Returning.

I use, on and off, a small pocket amplifier with a headset sometimes to offset my hearing difficulties. Unfortunately, I managed to lose the microphone last week . . . so I was in a bit of a bind.Trying to find a mono mike is well nigh impossible, at least at the compact, tiny budget end.Well, I found this and I am very pleased. I thought initially that the tilt was a bity gimmicky, but it does help in some situations. The build quality looks to be fairly good . . . about what you would expect from a ten - twenty dollar microphone.Now, as murphy's law works, and the fates of the universe, . . . lo and behold, I found my original microphone the day after this arrived. But, I am not going to return this. The original unit comes from an established name, and while their equipment is good, it is obscenely overpriced for what it is . . . especially a replacement mike like this one . . . they peg theirs at $70 . . . which is out and out robbery.This microphone is actually superior in sound quality . . . by a fair margin. I don't understand how that can be, but believe me, it does sound a heck of a lot better . . . and the price is just right.So, I am more than happy . . . and now the original is tucked away in my bag as a spare . . . this one is just so much better.

I tried on different devices to see if it would work. It did not work on anything. Very disappointed in the product. I do not recommend this. Spend a bit more money on a better quality mic.

Purchased two of these mics to use for recording gameplay on Samsung tablets. One mic worked well with decent quality sound. The second was defective with scratching and popping sounds. Returned and reordered. Same issue with the replacement mic. Checked with both mics and tablets to make sure it was a mic issue. Decent product with poor quality control. For $14, I guess you get what you pay for...
