MedermaScar Gel for Kids; Reduces the Appearance of Old and New Scars from Cuts, Burns, Surgery; Goes on Purple and Rubs in Clear; Grape Scented; Ages 2+, 0.70 Oz

It smells good and feels good but I can certainly say anything about it working as I haven’t been able to see results on one of my daughter’s old scratches on her face. I can certainly say that it does work well to help reduce scaring of any new scratches. I apply it on a new scratch of course after it has already scabbed. I apply it 3x a day, everyday until I see that it has faded away.

6 year old + Floor is lava = facial scarring and Mederma customer for life. The mederma goes on purple but dries clear. That’s fun for the kids but helps the parent know they applied the gel properly. It’s a small tube of gel but it lasts. It won’t fix permanent scarring but it has helped reduce the visibility and fine lines around the scarring.

I didn't like that the color of the cream was purple and the consistency was too liquid, but we need more time to see if it works.

Great smooth product that does not irritate my daughter. A little pricey but a little goes a long ways. I’ve notice a difference in her scar that’s on her face. It is not as noticeable as before. comes in a decent size tube. Does not have a bad smell and is not super sticky. I apply by squeezing gently on the tube and then apply it to a qtip in circular motion on her skin:

I got this for my toddler who ended up with a nasty scratch on her face, this was recommended to us. We went through 2 tubes and she still has a slight scar on her face 1 1/2 year later. It probably works well for small abrasions. The smell is a little overpowering too

Received and started using a few days ago. Was surprised that the gel is not only purple (dries mostly clear) but is also scented. I don’t like the purple because I’m afraid it’s going to stain clothes, especially when my daughter wants to help put it on. I don’t want purple everywhere! Also, there are times when it does not dry completely clear and there’s purple on my child’s face. The scent is very strong; smells like processed grape candy. Seems unnecessary as this is not something you’re trying to get the child to eat. When my daughter‘s wound was still healing, I would put antibiotic cream on it when she was asleep- very effective bc she wouldn’t wipe it off. I tried to put this on her while she was sleeping one night, and it smelled so strongly she woke up. I’m going to talk to her doctor about other options so we can avoid the purple/scented nonsense.

I’ve been using this since my daughter was a few months old and I can guarantee that it’ll protect definitely helps and removes marks completely!
