SANIFLOExtension Pipe - 18 in - Helps Prevent Leakage - Customizable

Mine works well and made installation behind the wall easier but I do agree with other reviewers that it seems a little pricey for what it is. When you look up other installations online you most often see an escutcheon that slides over the pipe on the finished side to cover the hole through the wall and give a nice finished look. I expected the extension pipe to come with the escutcheon but it did not and I have found it hard to find one that fits.

The price is NOT inline with the product. It should be much lower price, like a piece of PVC pipe. The problem is, this pipe is a very odd size and doesn't play nice with any other PVC products.

I also thought this was overpriced for what it is, but understood that it was a custom piece for a niche market. However, the gasket seal is horrible. After dry-fitting the toilet for spacing and leveling, then removing the extension for trimming, the gasket is ripped in 2 places. PVC pipe and a Fernco coupler it is, then. What a waste.

I first didn't want to buy this extension pipe b/c I thought it was just an over-priced, over-glorified 4 inch PVC pipe. Well I was wrong. This pipe is specifically designed for the saniflo toilets. The bell shaped flange has a rubber gasket that seals over the rear eject of the toilet...it would be difficult to re-create that with a plain 4 inch pvc pipe.
