We have a 13-year-old cat that loves this. Was getting kind of thin looking. I give her one package in the morning and she has dry food the rest of the day. She is looking good and gained some weight. She is an indoor/outdoor cat so she is getting enough exercise to be at a good weight.

My 20 year old Maine had a kidney disease diagnosis 5 years ago, but is a picky kitty when it comes to eating. Not interested in prescription food, and too old to get her teeth cleaned again (anesthesia is too dangerous). The vet said many years ago, "as long as she's eating and hydrated, that's the most important thing." Tough with a picky eater, but so far so good. Her teeth are not as good as they were. I have tried all kinds of things. She always loves gravy or broth added to her food. She really likes this though. No wasted food. I looked at all the ingredients, it appears to be very safe. She gets all kinds of foods, but this is her favorite. They're snacks, but it recommends 2 per day, which seems like a lot. Whatever works if your cat has kidney disease. She has gotten sub-cutaneous fluids for years, that definately has kept her going. She also loves salmon from pouches, tuna and chicken in water (people food), and fancy feast creamy broth. There is also a canned wet food and dry food she will eat, but this stuff is pretty cool. I couldn't find it in the store, and the price is fine. I am lucky to have a cat this old, but arthritis has really set in, and at this point, she won't be around much longer. She loves this food, so I am grateful to find a new way to spoil her with a food she likes. I plan to try the chowder too, just for variety. I've had a lot of cats, but none this old. She was a cranky kitten from the humane society, and I grew up taming grumpy cats. I strongly encourage teeth cleaning for your cat if you can, and wet food and dry food. She grew up only with dry food, which was the wisdom then. That thinking appears to have changed. Also, regular vet visits. Keep an eye out for bladder infections, they can be deadly fast. Regular brushing is good. Also, fresh water. A fountain style one is great, or running the sink. She likes ice cubes in her bowl. Arthritis? Cat heating pads and memory foam is great. I really appreciated the other reviews, so I'm writing one. I'm not a vet, but I am grateful for opinions of others.

This is for my finicky cat. She loves the texture and jumped up for this snack. My previous brand was too dry ,but with this she can't wait for the package to be opened. I bought this because of the ingredients and no added fillers or preservatives. Very nutritious for an elderly cat. Good quality and easy to swallow for my cat.
