Worst product
The worst product that I've ever purchased! If you do not speak chinese don't buy it. The app is only in Chinese, so it is impossible to understand how to use it. I bought it because appeared in internet as one of the best fertility monitors in 2016. But now, after dealing with it, I have serious doubt about it.

REALLY expensive for what it is!
I don't use nor car for the app. I can't get the thermometer to sync and the alarm isn't intuitive.

$20 thermometer for $80
This thermometer isn't any different than the $20 kind. I'm very surprised that it was so highly rated. I'll be retuning it for sure.

Great thermometer and connectivity but app is so-so
I started using this basal thermometer half way through my first cycle of tracking. Prior to that, I was using a regular digital thermometer. Before committing to the switch mid-cycle, I took my temp with both thermometers at the same time in the same area of my mouth. The Shecare thermometer matched the digital when rounded to the nearest tenth degree. Convinced it is accurate and would not skew my charting efforts, I started to use it exclusively for the rest of the cycle. The kit came with the thermometer, a protective sleeve and small foldout instructions. The instructions are a quick guide and are not very detailed but are easy to follow and helps to set up the thermometer for use.Setting up the thermometer was pretty easy and intuitive. Turn it on by pressing the top button and insert into the mouth. But to set the time and other settings, hold the same button until it beeps and the the year is flashing. Mine was already set but the day was off by one. Press the top button to advance to each sections to set the year, month, day, current hour (uses military time), minute, set the alarm hour and minute then Fahrenheit or Celsius. This is the last setting before it is ready to use. Press and hold the top button to turn it off.Next, I downloaded the SheCare app on my iPhone. Right off the bat, I was a little frustrated because the app description page is mostly in Chinese. Because of this, it is hard to figure out what certain numbers are that show up in the chart. However, using it is relatively easy to figure out because the important parts are in English too. Under Settings/Me, there are further instructions on linking the thermometer to the app, user help, alarm settings, auto sync option, temperature units (F/C), FAQ, a basic health profile and a "Connect HealthKit." I am not sure what this last item is...To start syncing the thermometer to the app, turn on Bluetooth on your phone. Then under Settings/Me, turn on Auto sync. You will notice a "Connected" pop up at the bottom of the screen and disappear quickly. This routinely pops up often when the app is open. This is a little annoying and wish it would happen once when the app is initially opened and go away. Set up the basic health profile (age, cycle length, period length, period type (reg/irreg) and the start of the last period. This is all that is needed to start using the thermometer and app. What is great is that when I take my temp in the morning, I don't have to enter the temp myself. It automatically syncs via the Bluetooth connection BUT the app must be open before turning on the thermometer. However, if you fail to bother opening up the app while half asleep, you can sync it later. You do this by opening the app and pressing the up or down arrow on thermometer. That will update your latest temp to your chart. You can also page through the saved temps on the thermometer and enter it manually on the app. This connectivity makes this basal thermometer unique and it's a great feature to have. Without it, it's a lot like other digital basal thermometers. My biggest criticisms are with the app. It has a home, calendar, and chart view. The data does not seem to match up between the three views. The home screen shows my next period as 4/1 but I entered it for 3/26 which is reflected on the calendar correctly. The chart shows the period block as starting 3/25. Not sure what is up with that. But the chart does show my fertile week and last ovulation date correctly. I chart using Fertility Friend as well and that data matches this app. It also closely matches my next fertile week and ovulation date on Fertility Friend (4/13 and 4/14 respectively). So the tracking on the chart seems accurate. But the chart does not seem to separate into individual cycles. It is one continuous graph and no coverlines for reference for that reason, I guess. You can enter data manually for each day. You can export your data in a PDF to your stored email address.Overall, I like the thermometer but it is expensive. With this, you are paying for the convenience of the syncing and the tracking app, which are useful if you are currently using paper charting and want to leap into the digital world. On that note, I did receive a discount for this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All of what I have expressed are my own words based on my experience with the thermometer and app. While I got a good discount, I still paid way more than I would for a similar thermometer. I think the connectivity is great and the app is useable and useful but it appears meant for the asian market. But again, the main parts are in English and it's easily used.

This fertility Monitor has the potential to be great! There are a few things that I need to do better in order to start gaining the benefits of it. First I need to use it for a much longer period of time, it is hard to get into the rhythm of taking my temp first thing in the morning. In the morning when I go to take my oral temperature I have kids jumping on me or I get up get them something…THEN I get to go grab the thermometer. It does need to be done immediately because when you get up your heart rate goes up and so does your body temperature. This all makes the temperature wrong. So, placing the thermometer where you can grab it before fully waking and before the kids wake is key. The thermometer syncs so easily, they have really nailed the technology. The app is easy and simple there are some instructions on how to use it. Me personally would like to see the app grow to be a little more advanced, but for now I do like it. I would recommend other women give this item a shot or at least try a decent thermometer at home and write down your temps until you can get this one. Seriously, automatically syncing to the app makes a huge difference. I received this item at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review. I purchased this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review. All of my reviews are always my honest personal opinion, and the discount I receive does not affect my review in any way. I am not affiliated with any seller. I will only purchase items at a discount if I, or my family is interested in using it.
