Holds it's own with cups three times the price
Before buying this tumbler I looked into a number of alternatives such as The Boss and Yeti's Iconic Tumbler. The main differentiation in build quality seemed to be the presence or absence of a weld seam on the top inside of the rim. Neither the Yeti nor this Thermik have said seam which bodes well for build quality and insulation. All of these tumblers work on the principle of vacuum insulation, namely that a thin layer of vacuum or the relative absence of atomic activity will prevent the transfer of heat due to atomic collisions. In theory, the only heat loss would be through the metal of cup itself along the top rim and through the open/lidded top. That being said, using the lid provides significantly more insulation, and I personally recommend using it at all times. That Ice Test:Pretty much all of these tumblers are subjected to the same test: how long will it hold ice? For my example (pictures one and three), I added 800g of ice to the tumbler (pic 1). At 12 hours, only ~270g of water had been produced through melting. By 24 hours, ~715g of water had melted. Basically, you can still have ice after a day no problem. For this test, I did not completely fill the cup with Ice, so there is a good chance that if you did so, it would retain a higher percentage of its ice. Note: The lid was on for almost the entire time. Conclusion: Thus far, I cannot find anything wrong of deficient with the product. It is well made and lives up to it's label. Having talked with friends that own Yeti tumblers, the Thermik certainly holds its own. If you want value and a grade A product, by the Thermik, If you want the brand, you probably already bought a Yeti anyway.Note: If you like to smell your beer or whatever drink you are enjoying, taking of the lid is a must.

Quit shopping tumblers, just buy this one.
I shopped around and decided I wasn't paying full price for a Yeti when there were so many more affordable and comparable tumblers. I stumbled upon Thermik and their handle made for these tumblers. Great price and warranty had me hooked. Came in right on time. I opened the box and rinsed it, but there was some discoloration from what looked to be excessive sealant at the bottom. The customer rep agreed it shouldn't look that way and suggested I use alcohol, but it didn't help. It was by no means unusable, I just expected a new product and one I could show off around the office. They quickly responded with a tracking number for a replacement tumbler. I received it today and it works as advertised. Glad I didn't buy a Yeti. 100% satisfied with the tumbler and handle. It keeps my drinks cold longer than any tumbler I've used before and coffee hotter than any travel mug I've used. Highly recommend to anyone shopping for a Yeti tumbler or the like.

It's not that other brand, but it's pretty close (FYI NOT DISHWASHER SAFE)
I received this product at a substantial discount in exchange for an honest review. Please feel free to see my other reviews for confirmation that I never give positive feedback unless warranted.A friend gave us a Yeti and I was considering buying another (so we can both have one), but holy sticker shock! So I've been looking into the alternatives, and this seemed like the best choice based on our criteria. I had actually bought one at full Amazon price when the opportunity came up to test it, so now we actually have 3 of these vacuum insulators, 2 Thermiks and 1 Yeti.We don't use ours for hot beverages, and therefore haven't had a problem with the lids. That said, the lid is a little more trouble than the Yeti in that it doesn't want to stay all the way on, but it hasn't yet come off and dumped liquid all over me. (Yet. Knock on wood.) Also, the Thermik lid doesn't seem as solid and doesn't seem to insulate as well, but it's not a ridiculous difference. We've probably only noticed because we don't tend to use a lot of ice, either, and instead use cool water from the fridge dispenser. Without ice, and starting at a relatively warmer temperature, it's more obvious that one warms more quickly than the other. Even so, again, not a massive difference. NEITHER of them comes with a non-spill lid that completely closes, but it's available for purchase separately on both models.I chose the Thermik specifically because the seams are the same as the Yeti. I didn't want a seam at the lip edge of the cup, which is a relatively higher risk area for failure, because once the seal is gone, you've got a very expensive (and very large) julep cup, with no insulation whatsoever. The sticker came off fine and didn't leave any rust or residue. I used oil to remove the adhesive and washed before use.I'm not at all a fan of the no dishwasher business. The Thermix says "hand wash recommended" in permanent etching on the bottom and Yeti does not, and Yeti web site says that they are dishwasher safe. The Thermix is apparently "bombproof," but can be taken out by the common household dishwasher. Also, if it's not dishwasher safe, you need to say that clearly and loudly, not surprise me on the back end. Score one for Yeti. Maybe two.Neither sweats at all, even when used with heavy ice, and the outside stays comfortable to hold.BOTH say that DO NOT FREEZE, FYI. (There is a question answered that says it's okay, but Yeti and Thermik agree that it's not supposed to be done. In fact, I'm not sure who's answering those questions but take them with a serious grain of salt.)Thermik's description says it has a copper coated interior, but then in the questions the seller says 100% stainless, so who knows there.I bought the Thermik with a handle, because they're both a little too large for my hands. Yeti doesn't make a handle, but there are plenty of companies making handles that will fit the Yeti.In short, the Yeti is better, but not $30 worth of better. If I need another, though, I'll seriously consider the Yeti if only because not being dishwasher safe (and failing to disclose that up-front) is a serious deal-breaker.

A real steal at $19.99
Whoa! Have you checked out the rediculous prices on the other stainless steel drink tumblers?!? Why would anyone pay three times more when this Thermik stainless steel 30 oz thermal tumbler is totally seamless inside, is made of heavy kitchen grade stainless steel, is so perfectly insulated that I can leave ice in it at night and twelve hour later the ice is still there!? This tumbler has a whopping 30 oz capacity with a tight fitting, spill reducing lid that can accomodate a wide, smoothie straw or a standard straw or no straw as the lid is made for sipping. Works great as a mega size morning coffee cup that will keep your java hot all day! The double wall construction of the tumbler keeps the heat or cold inside the tumbler where it belongs. No more condensation from your iced drink, dripping onto your papers or your clothing. No more need for a card board sleeve or bundled paper napkins to protect your hands from your favorite hot drink. Go ahead and fill this tumbler at home before attending your favorite sporting event, this tumbler holds enough to last through the whole event. And it is only $19.99. That is a steal !!
