Good Salsa, and I'm from Texas
I'm from Texas, so I like to think I know a thing or two about good salsa. For example, I know that if you go to a Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant and the salsa and chips aren't good, you might and well get up and leave because the food will not be worth staying for. This salsa is the kind that I would stay for. And that's saying something since it's coming out of a jar. Get some thin and crispy organic white corn tortilla chips and enjoy this salsa. Or, drizzle it over some homemade tacos. If you're not making fresh salsa for yourself and your family, buy Frontera salsa. That's my advice, for what it's worth.

Water should not be one of the top ingredients. Who puts water in salsa?!?!
I got this a few years ago and it was decent. I have two separate types at the moment, and both are basically soup. One of the first ingredients is water, listed ahead of the peppers! I just learned they are actually a restaurant chain, go figure.Absolutely disgusting. Make your own.UPDATE: This jar was seriously 50% water, I know because I strained it. Looked it up and Frontera was bought by Conagra in 2016. "Con"agra is a great name for anyone selling this product!

better than plain roasted tomato
It is barely spicy if you're worried about that. I would get the Jalapeno cilantro over the roasted tomato. There was almost no difference beyond the extra bit of spice and tang.Still, the salsa is thin as with the other flavor I bought. There might just be the equivalent of 1 tomato or less per jar. The rest is liquid.

Tastes Watered-Down
I recall trying this product a couple of years ago and it was perfect. I don't know when the recipe changed, but it's so watered-down and the flavor weakened. Very disappointing.

The BEST jarred salsa brand out there!
This was my second Frontera salsa, the first time I tried one of the mild chunky varieties. Both of them have exceeded any expectations I've ever had with jarred salsa! The cilantro jalapeno isn't as chunky as the first one I tried, but the flavor is just exceptional! Just enough kick without being too spicy, and without the awful, acidic taste most spicy jarred salsas have.I've watched Chef Rick Bayless' cooking programs for nearly 20 years, and this was my first time trying his Frontera line. I look forward to trying all of their other products, especially all their salsas! Really well done IMO.

It’s a definite no go for me
I loved everything about this salsa...EXCEPT for the chipotle/smokey flavor.I don’t like chipotle whatsoever and had I known that it was one of the ingredients I would have never purchased.I feel like it was misleading-normally most typical authentic style salsas do not use chipotles or chipotle like Smokey flavoring in their recipe.

Awesome salsa! Definitely their best all-purpose flavor.
Tired of the increasingly watered-down, bland major brand salsas, we decided to try several varieties of Frontera. All are excellent and the Jalapeno Cilantro is our new go-to all-purpose salsa! Great flavors with just a hint of heat, it pairs well on or with practically everything.

Worst Salsa I Have Ever Tasted
This is the worst salsa I have ever tasted. I can usually eat most foods without a problem, but as soon as I tasted this, I knew I wouldn't want any more of it. I got this as part of a delivery order when the salsa I had purchased was out of stock, so this was a substitution I did not authorize made by the shopper who packed the order. My advice is not to order this, if you do, expect to be disappointed.
