Works well!
During the icy weather the built-in battery of the old gauge failed. As its battery could not be replaced I had to dispose of the gauge. I wanted its replacement to be capable of taking new batteries, so this was a desirable feature for me with the new gauge. The built-in battery of the previous gauge had lasted a very long time; it will be interesting to see how long the replaceable batteries last in the new gauge. It is easy to use and the light might be useful on a dark night. The display screen is easy to read. As I only ever measure my tyre pressures in psi I would prefer not to have the option of being able to select other pressure units but I recognise that having this facility makes the gauge more applicable in other countries where psi is not used. The handle of this gauge is slightly wider than its predecessor, which makes it comfortable to hold. I have never previously had a gauge that measures in units down to 0.1psi. This is interesting but is not essential to me as I had always previously been quite happy with units down to 0.5psi!. I have used the gauge only once so far but it worked just fine and it seems to have been a good buy.

Does the job without fuss
Tyres are easy to ignore until there is a puncture or an MoT failure arrives, but wrong inflation increases tyre wear shortening their life, causes wear to suspension systems and effects a car's stability so regular checks are advisable.Even with tyre pressure monitoring systems built in, telling you tyre pressures on your dashboard or even your phone, manufacturers warn they are only a guide. The TPMS can be fooled by many things, so even if it says all is well, a manual check is a good idea. The reason I bought the gauge was that my TPMS was warning of low pressure. A check with a small 12v compressor showed the pressures were fine which was enough to reset the TPMS. A decent gauge would have made the check quicker and easier, which was as good a reason as any for the purchase. This gauge is useful in that the head lights up, helping to highlight the valve stem in the dark and it gives digital readings in PSI and Bar, the two most common, as well Kgf/cm² and KPA, the reading set by pressing the trigger to the desired scale - the text for the scale is a bit small but is manageable, the text for the reading is fine, with the screen also illuminated. It is hard to judge accuracy as you need to check it against a known accurate reading but it tallies with my 12v compressor and with the TPMS so at least my pressures are consistently right or wrong.I did not have full confidence in my ancient hydraulic pressure gauge so in the past I have set up the compressor to check pressures before long journeys and holidays, usually with no action needed. This makes the job much quicker and makes it quick and easy to carry out regular checks at the same time as the usual oil and water checks. There is a cheaper model available, but this later model uses AAA batteries rather than button cells and AAA are available everywhere if you need them quickly and are cheaper to obtain. It's a useful tool to encourage you to keep a closer eye on your tyres.

Accurate and easy to use
easy to use, light is useful, 4 different measuring units. only slightly downside is the delay after taking one measurement before you can do the next, I switch it off and back on to speed it up. Would buy again.

Easy to use, easy to read
I checked its accuracy against the TPMS on the car and they correlate. It's very easy to use both in terms of switching between measurements (PSI, Bar etc), and actual operation. Back lit display is useful if working in a dark garage, or at night.

Good tyre gauge
This brief review supercedes the earlier comments below and relates to a replacement kindly provided by AstroAI.The new AstroAI tyre gauge is slightly different in having different batteries. More importantly it seals to the tyre valve reliably. The bright display is useful and the reading resolution of 0.1psi is very good.Original Review on Gauge with 2 AAA Batteries:The gauge looks like it should be ideal with its good resolution of pressure (0.1psi) and easily replaced batteries. The gauge is let down by difficulty getting it to seal quickly to the tyre valve. However carefully I try to make it contact it nearly always loses pressure by 1 to 2 psi. Quite frustrating for what is otherwise a good gauge.

Not bad as a guide.
Easy to use but gives a different reading each time I checked the tyre pressure on the same tyre.

Good value for money and well specified
This is a cheap prices and - TBH - cheap looking device. However, it has a good grip, a useful and effective back light and uses 'normal' batteries that most people have a supply of at home.Unlike button batteries that I never seem to have to hand when I need them! These were a little fiddly to use, but my wife soon got the hang of them 😁😁Small enough to leave in the glove box until you need themNo real idea how accurate they are. Only used them a couple of times. On both occasions I took car to garage soon after and used the air pressure pump there. Didn't seem wildly inaccurate on either occasion.A good buy for occasional or emergency use, especially with the current price reduction.
