Fun and engaging
Our family loves to play it and, since we live in a big city with constant traffic jams, we play it in the car to keep the kids entertained and engaged while sitting in the car. It’s a win!

Great and family friendly
Absolutely what I was looking for - quick but engaging questions which are perfect for even toddler age kids to start conversation.

A MUST-HAVE FOR ANY FAMILY!
I found Table Topics when I was looking for conversation starters for me and my husband. I was so intrigued by Table Topics that when I saw there were multiple categories I took a gamble and bought 4 sets! I bought Not Your Mom's Dinner Party, Couples, Family, and Girl's Night Out. Conversations from a single card could last anywhere from one minute to one hour! I have learned so much about myself, spouse, family and friends! Anyone we have played them with loves them as well. We keep them around the house so they are handy at all times. The high quality, clear boxes, are nice looking and sturdy. There are political, personal, fun, funny and thoughtful questions. My kids are 18 and 21 years old. Some of the cards are geared towards children in elementary school - asking about recess, etc., but we always find a way to either tweak the card or just reminisce about when we were younger. Basically, it is your game, you make the rules! We have always had great family discussions at the dinner table, but this game has taken us to a whole new (BETTER) level! Some examples of cards are: What's the most important right a person has? Which of your 5 senses would you be saddest to lose? Why do you think people do or say mean things to other people? If you could go to the Olympics in one sport, which would you choose? What do children know more about than adults?

Family Table Topics
My family is one one a dying breed that eats dinner at the table together every night. Throughout the years, I've used various conversation-starting techniques ("How was your day starting with the letter M?" or "How was your day ending with '... and then I had a delicious dinner!'?) When I came across this cube of cards on Amazon, it seemed like it was made for my family. The price was a little steep, but I decided to give it to myself as a Christmas gift. The cards arrived in good condition; my plastic cube was in perfect shape, not damaged at all as some other reviewers have experienced. Each card has one question printed on it. The questions aren't anything groundbreaking or earth shattering - you could have probably thought of all of them yourself, if you had the time and inclination. The cards include questions such as:what's your favorite dessertwho is one of your heroes and why do they inspire youwould you keep a secret if you knew someone would get hurt if you didif you were showing a foreigner around your town where would you take themwhat's your favorite family traditionwhat do you say when someone gives you a gift you already haveif you could speak another language which would you choosehow does a person become courageouswhat would you like to change about your schoolOverall ImpressionsPros:- My kids (ages 12 and 9) LOVE these cards. They really look forward to answering the questions every day.- The plastic cube is thick and sturdy. The overall design is very attractive.- The cards are thick cardstock and seem durable enough.- These are a fun and simple way to get people talking and thinking at the tableCons:- You may have noticed that the questions listed above have no capitalization and almost no punctuation. I typed them out just as they are written on the cards. Really. This drives me absolutely crazy. I get that it's probably supposed to be "stylistic," and I'm as big a fan of ee cummings as the next gal, but my 9 year old really struggles with writing skills. I would have liked it better if these cards provided more of a model of good mechanics. Would it have killed the people at Tabletopics to at LEAST throw in a comma here and there?? (I won't even bring up the fact that the plurality of the noun and pronoun in the foreigner question doesn't match. Argh!)- The cards are supposed to be used at the table, and ours are. Unfortunately, kids, spaghetti, and white-edged cards do not really mix. After 2 months, our cards look pretty grubby. You could either look at the visible grunge as a design flaw (darker colored cards wouldn't show as much dirt), or you could view it as a testament to how much and often we really do use the cards. :-)- The price was pretty steep (especially considering all the ink they must be saving by skipping the punctuation!) I don't regret the purchase, but if these had been $12 instead of $25, I would really love them! All in all, I like these cards, but I have to remove stars for the atrocious grammar and punctuation.

Great for families!
What a wonderful game for families to encourage conversations around the dinner table. We even enjoy bringing them in the car when taking a longer drive! Some questions are focused more for younger children and may not apply to teens although many do apply to the entire family so those cards could easily be skipped if needed! The packaging is very sleek. It would be nice however if it locked shut. Our game has fallen a few times and cards go flying!Overall, we are happy with how many conversations these start and even lead into other discussions with the family!

wow! I never thought something so simple could change our everyday dinner time so much
Before I bought this, dinner time was a mess. We have two kids ages 6 and 10. My 10 year old eats super fast and then leaves the table and gets annoyed with everyone else for being slow. My 6 year old is the slowest eater on the planet. My husband and I were mostly spending dinner time doing behavior management every day. I dreaded it.Once we started using this deck a few weeks ago everything changed! Our kids sit and talk with us about fascinating things the whole time - I mean they still bicker - but we are connecting more than doing behavior management. AND it keeps our oldest at the table and engaged with us (which has always been a struggle). And we learn new things about each other which is awesome. I’m already worried about what will happen when we run out of cards (though there are a TON so I don’t think that will happen soon). And it’s helping them learn how to have meaningful conversations - and etiquette around how to talk in a group and give others space. I love itIf you are craving more connection with your kiddos and easier dinners - this has worked well for us.

Great way to get the family talking!
Our family recently had a 6 hour road trip, and I was looking for ways to keep the family entertained. And this was great! Our 9 year old loved being in charge of the questions & I loved the stories that came from this. Made the car ride fly by & we didn't even get through all the cards!

clever and unique gift
Gifted to my parents for Christmas while I was home for the holidays - was fun way to pass the time when hanging out in the kitchen and super cute to hear my parents share memories and stories about their past, times together or thoughts and opinions on topics we dont typically talk about. Recommend.
