The bench is beautiful and very sturdy. It was easy to assemble the legs (the allen wrench was included) and the bench looks much more expensive than its actual cost. The sheen on the wood is a little duller than the photos if that concerns you. The fabric is a gold tone as others have mentioned and the cushion does not compress much so the height stays at about 20" when you sit on the bench. I purchased it to serve as an occasional end of table seat (in a tight space) to match a table height suited to 19-20" chairs and the bench is perfect for that. Overall, I think the bench makes a perfect dining or hallway seat if the style suits your decor, but I am not sure I'd use it as a vanity bench as it's rather formal looking (maybe that's just me though!).

I was looking for a white bench that I could use in the bathroom. The reviews for the white benches, however, were not good. The most disturbing issue was breakage. Since I'm no longer 25, I wasn't willing to accept the risk.The Powell Jamestown Landing Bench, however, happened to come up in the search for white benches. It's definitely NOT white... but it's beautiful. It has a 'rich' look. Real wood! Very sturdy. The padded cover is a tawny color. Complements the legs perfectly. And the height is great! Taller than my chairs.I decided to use it in my closet! Perfect!Yes, it was almost twice the price as the benches I originally researched but it's generally true... You get what you pay for.

I like the bench. It feels of good quality and it looks nice.However the packaging for the legs are sub-par. They were stuffed in a box together with no padding so you could tell they were hitting each other during shipping.I attached some photos of the marks I found. I'll just fill it in with a marker but they should really package it better.

This is almost exactly what I was looking for. I'd just bought the chair at a yard sale and wanted a foot stool that complimented it. I found this one, and thought I'd give it a try. It is pretty perfect. It was so easy to assemble and looks great. It can also be a bench! I love it.

We just moved and for the first time ever, I am able to use the antique vanity I got from my mother. The only problem was, it didn't come with a stool or bench. After measuring for size/height to figure out what worked best, and searching for something I could afford, I landed on this little beauty. It was well packaged for protecting it from being banged around in transit and was easy to put together. The seat is sturdy and the legs are well crafted carved wood. It took me less than 20 minutes to screw the legs on using the allen wrench they provided. I discovered it had little plastic buttons on the bottom of each leg to keep it from scratching up our hardwood floor which was an added bonus. I'm a bit heavy and was very pleased to feel that this bench would support my weight as well as last for years.

beautiful and sturdy

This was my 2nd bench and this one came without any issues. The legs fir perfectly, there were no flaws and assembly was a breeze. Just had to screw the legs on. The seat is cushioned well and is a light golden champagne color - just like the picture shows. I still think it was a little overpriced but all in all a great classy looking bench.

I have used the bench for a month. It is very comfortable and beautiful. The only negative thing I found was there was scratches/gouges on 2 of the legs. But since this seems to be mentioned by others, I choose to keep the bench. It is used for my vanity there fore I am the only one to use it and no one can see the scratches from my bedroom door. All in all I really like the bench.
