Unfortunately, if you look at the positive reviews, all but 2 of them state they were compensated for their rating. And then if you look at the other reviews that those folks have written, they are all 5 stars. All. So you can take that for what it's worth. For me it means if you've written 100 reviews, all positive like the one you wrote for this bark collar, assuring me there no bias, I am beyond skeptical. It's a shame because I relied heavily on the Amazon customer review system to save me time and effort purchasing quality products.In any case, here is my review:The good:They processed my return quickly and without hassle.It fits many sizes of dog, even my 9 pound mixed breed.The bad:It randomly triggers, even at it's lowest sensitivity level. No growling. No head shaking. Just walking along and .... BUZZZZZ. I took it off quickly out of concern it would zap my dog for doing nothing.It *does* shock. If you think you're getting a vibrate-only collar, you are not. The instruction are clear about the static charge generated.Even if it worked properly, the progressive shock strategy will only stop barking that occurs over a 30 second period. So it would be practical for a dog left outside that barks endlessly. But mine barks loud when the doorbell rings or someone walks by the windows. It never lasts more than a few seconds, (but it's enough to startle a glass of water out of your control, if she's on your lap) so the device would never exit the vibrate stage to the shock stage.

Wow! Gentle but effective! A few barks and low growling the first day. Now our twelve pound, eight month old little doggie, without my insisting, waits quietly at the door before going out to have the collar put on and pauses after coming in to have it removed. The thing is, the second day I let him out three times in the afternoon without the collar and he still did not bark. He had become a barking maniac before that, sometimes going out the door and immediately barking as he flew off the porch steps in search of something to actually bark at. Last week on the first sunny day warm enough for people to be out in our neigborhood he worked himself in such an adenaline fueled frenzy, barking out our windows at dogs and people walking by and also when outside in the yard barking constantly that I think he made himself ill from the excitement. We tried to get him to stop barking but it was nearly impossible. This collar is such a blessing.

I read several reviews for this collar and found them to be all over the place. All I can tell is that it will depend on your dog whether this will work for you or not. It is lightweight. It beeps and vibrates when the dog barks. It doesn't seem to harm your dog physically. Maybe emotionally. Mjy Shih Tzu changed his habits almost immediately and he had some bad barking habits. My dog will still bark if he needs to but the collar has drastically reduced the senseless barking at the wind.It does generate false alarms when he jumps off the couch or runs but it seems harmless.

Bought this color for a small terrier mix. 15 lbs. it worked when you blew into the hole when I bought it but if your dog yips vs bark then this is a waste of money. That is the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars because maybe if your dog has a deep bark then it might work. Anyways kept the collar on the dog for a couple months heard it beep maybe twice while it was on our dogs neck only if something else made it beep (car horn while driving and closing the lid of a trash can while he was next to me). I finally bought a new one today and took off this one and blew into the hole just to compare the vibration to the new one. AND IT BEEPED WITH NO VIBRATION!! I blew into it so the level reached the last level to see if it made any kind of vibration!!! And NOTHING! So even if it may have beeped at some point no correction was given?!! And all this time I was wondering why this dog still was able to bark and wine.

Awesome device. The collar beeps to warn the dog, then the dog continues to bark it will vibrate. My dog really does not like the vibration. He's a Chihuahua mix who loves to bark at birds, delivery men, cats, and anybody who comes to the house. The collar has become a magic pill. Just put it on him and he quiets down and becomes "normal". We got the vibration model instead of the shock model because we did not want to harm or traumatize our canine family member, and we only use it when he wont settle down on his own, but it really works and has made him much more pleasant when we get visitors. Highly recommend the vibration model.

The collar was very impressive and worked extremely well to curb the barking. It was a little larger than I expected as the picture shows the unit in proportion to the collar length but you end up cutting of most of the length to get it to fit a 20 pound dog so it's really much larger unit. The barking stopped at the first tone and if it got to the first vibration it really made them take stock (I have two dogs). My only complaint is the batteries are supposed to start blinking the red LED when getting low but the collar seems to stop working after about 3-4 days and the LED never blinks.

This item worked for roughly a week, or two and then no longer functioned as normal. At first it scared my Yorkie to the point when we put it on him he would act normal. He wouldn't bark at everything and when he did it was much calmer than before. After a couple weeks it was either the contacts, or batteries that no longer were working. We went on vacation and haven't used it since. The Yorkie still barks but eventually we'll figure out how to use this thing.

This worked perfect for my small dog. He barked only a couple of times after I put it on him. He learned right away not to bark while in his kennel. Only had to put it on him once and now he knows not to bark in the kennel. Great product!
