Wear & Tear vs Physical Damage as per Acko?
Hi,I would like to understand the difference between "Wear & Tear" which is not covered under the plan as well as "Physical Damage" which is covered under the plan. As per my understanding "Wear & Tear" can be scratches or a small bump at the corner of the phone or anything similar to it but "Physical Damage" is more of a drop from the hand which can happen to anyone.I saw the acko rating on Amazon i.e. 2 star hence I was worried whether it's a good idea to purchase any plan along with my OnePlus Pro mobile phone which I am planning to buy this month.Outside Amazon also I have seen that the people have complained about Acko service on various forums. My question to Acko would be, Let say I have purchased a phone today and bought the "Acko 1-year Total Damage plan" along with it, after 8 months I lost the grip of the phone and by mistake it is dropped and the screen is broken. I will call the Acko and they will check that there were scratches at the back and they might say that it's "Wear & Tear" and it is not covered under plan. Like many customer care centers, Acko might ask me to first repair the "Wear & Tear" issues then Acko will consider the Physical Damage. Is it fair? Obviously I have used the phone for 8 months and there is a high probability that it might have a bump or the scratches at the back but my repair will not happen because they won't consider my phone for repair because of "Wear & Tear" rather than focussing on "Physical Damage".What Acko has to say about this issue? Maybe that's the reason people have rated 2 stars to acko.
