Miscly Round Shoe laces [3 Pairs] for Shoes, Sneakers & Boots

Replaced my old oxford's laces with these laces. These have a similar feel to paracord 550, as well as a similar looking weave. They feel very rugged, almost more of a boot lace, but have held up well in my day-to-day work (medical administration). They do look bulkier, on close inspection, than that the standard oxford laces, so if you are looking for something with a minimal feel, these are not the correct laces for you. These are bulkier to the touch, but feel just the same as regular laces when worn. I wear a size 13 EE, and I ordered the 36", which gives me just enough room to single tie. I don't think you could get away with a double tie at the 36" length, but I also don't think you'd need to, because these have stayed tied all day long.

They are OK the real issue I have is they are stretchy. So the laces have a fair amount of give when you pull them tight. I bought them for boots and I don't think they are well suited for boots. These are mostly just for shoes actually more like sneakers where that bit of give is OK. So they are listed for shoes, sneakers, or boots but most work boot wearers want a lace that does not stretch. If you like boot laces that have lots of give these are the ones for you. For example and to give you accurate info, I laid the lace on a table next to a tape measure. I purchased 54" laces and laying on the table they measure 54". However I had someone hold one end and I pulled the other, shockingly it easily stretched to 66", WOW 1 Foot of stretch! So that works out to over 2.5 inches of stretch for every 1 foot of lace. I purchased shoelaces not rubber bands sorry these are just not for me.

I'd been looking for replacement shoelaces at local stores for a few weeks but not finding anything in stock before I looked at Amazon. I didn't know what to expect ordering shoelaces over the web, but I've been pleasantly surprised by these Miscly laces. The laces are true to size (they are exactly 36" long and 5/32" wide) and hold a knot well. I've worn them for about a week's worth of 14-hour days and while the laces these replaced showed signs of wear almost immediately, these still look like they just came out of the package.

The laces work perfect for my Dockers Gordon Mens Cap-Toe Oxford shoes. I almost always go through 2 or 3 sets of laces during the life of these shoes, so it's nice to find replacement laces that work perfectly. 5/32 is the perfect thickness and the 36" length is just right.

Needed quality shoelaces for my Keen hiking boots which I wear almost every day. These are actually better than the original ones. They don't hurt my fingers when I pull on them and they have just a bit of stretch for extra comfort on the upper part of my foot. Seems funny to buy shoelaces via Amazon, but hey, good product at good price!

Tightly woven round laces in nice bright blue that I like with grey or black boots. I prefer round to flat laces on boots with lacing hooks - they more easily slide into out of the hooks (whereas flat laces can catch and snag on the hooks). Fair price, and a very good value if they hold up over time.

I don't often buy shoelaces so my next statement may appear to be uninformed. While these appear to be high-quality shoelaces, I actually think $8.99 for 3 pairs is a bit high. I decided to take a chance on them because I typically pay a little more in hopes that I'll get better quality. While I've only used one pair so far, the laces seem to be of really good quality. I'm currently using them in Nike running shoes (for walking) and they are of a good thickness and appear to be strong laces. I like the color, too. I'd recommend these laces to my friends.

One of the things that really bugs me is buying a shoes with laces that start fraying within days of use. And then when I try to get a replacement at the store (even the one where I purchased the shoes) it's impossible. I've found this especially with Sketchers and most recently with shoes I purchased at Costco with the Izod brand on them. THANKFULLY I found Miscly laces. While I couldn't find the exact color lace that came on the shoes, I found a product much better than I could acquire from the limited laces available in places like Walmart. The lace length was longer than the original, but close. The product came in a "3 pack" and arrived three days ahead of time. Overall, I give them 5 stars, although I don't know about the durability yet as I just put them on the shoes. But I'll come back if I discover any issues with these.
