NUXE Body Fondant Firming Cream, 6.7 oz.

At the beginning of the year, I had a little over 40 pounds to lose (I've lost 22.6 so far this year). That is the most weight I've felt I had to lose in my adult life. While I've never had problems with sagging skin after weight loss before, since I had more to lose this time, I decided to be proactive and use a firming cream. (This would probably not have the same effect on you as it did on me if you had a much larger amount of weight to lose, so be forewarned.) I have had good luck with facial/neck firming creams since I started losing weight (both the Clinique and the Algenist ones) but I was looking for something to use around my stomach. This is the cream I chose.This is a thick cream and a little goes a long way. I like that it comes in a jar (and the jar is large) because I can get it all out that way (I hate cutting open tubes to remove lotion, or else turning pumps upside down). I am only using it on my stomach and a little around to the sides. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I have barely made a dent in the amount in the container. (Your mileage may vary. If you are using it on a larger area of the body, of course it won't last as long.)This is moisturizing and non-irritating (and I have been getting rashes from a lot of skincare products lately, but not this one, so that is important). It doesn't take much effort to rub it into the skin and it absorbs without leaving residue. It has a mild but pleasant scent that fades quickly (better than some of the French makeup and skincare products I've used lately, many of which seem to be heavily fragranced).Anyhow, while I don't feel an immediate firming effect upon application, I would say that I have noticed some improvement (above and beyond what a typical lotion would do) in the past month. Now, I have lost over an inch from around the widest part of my stomach in that time, as well as a pants size, so I think my skin elasticity has been improved since I am not seeing any sagging. Really the only thing I am doing differently in that specific area is using this product (twice a day).This cream is not going to be a panacea. The largest part of the improvement I have seen is from diligently counting calories and exercising a lot, and I know that. (And you are not going to make your stomach shrink by using this without changing your diet and exercising.) But this is helping me to fix a problem in one target area, as well as hopefully prevent future problems, and I am quite happy about that.

Not that bad

I bought this product because I feel I have some fluffy skin since pregnancies. I'm not sure if it's realy FIRMING but I can tell the skin is looking better, softer and more even (strech marks less pronounced). I will keep using it.

Feels good on the skin. Not sure how well it worked but it has a pleasant smell.

Sampled this through Birchbox and just love it. I don't believe in its "firming" properties but it is wonderfully luxurious as a body moisturizer (it is thicker than the body lotion by Nuxe, though that is also nice). The container is a good size and lasts a while (I'm on my first and it's been almost 1.5 months and I still have some left). Highly recommended.

Only using it for a few weeks. Too early to assess if it has any affect on skin.

The smell is very nice but I have allergy on that product.

I use this firming cream daily. The fragrance is soft and inviting, and the cream is rich, and absorbs nicely. It truely does make the skin look younger and firmer. I love it!

This cream is perfect, although I still don't know if it works because I've only been using it for a week. But when applied it leaves a very good feeling, a good smell and is absorbed immediately, which is perfect, since I do not like to stay with the sensation of the cream on my skin for hours.At the moment I love it and I recommend it.

Prefer oils.

This is how it arrived. Outside pot and lid in perfect condition but foil seal inside damaged. For the price I would not expect this! Unable to successfully contact customer service so it seems it will take yet another journey by van just to be placed in the bin.

Very good product . Soft, easy to apply, nourishing and with a noticeable firming effect.

Love this cream. I used it 4 months after having a c section and has really helped. You have to use it twice a day Morning and night.
