FitPAWS Donut Dark Blue for Dog Fitness and Agility

I learned about FitPAWS equipment at agility class for one of my Coton de Tulear dogs. With 2 more at home, I thought this would be a fun item for indoor games during the winter months when they so easily get cabin fever! Sure enough, all the dogs come to life when I pull it out of the closet. It's all I can do to get them to wait in line to climb aboard! I use it for hind end awareness and it is a core strengthening tool for my older dog with arthritis. Excellent quality. I also purchased the inflatable donut base for stability.

My agility dog was injured over the summer 2012. I purchased this item because I thought it would help her (us) complete exercises per our chiropractic vet....it works great, and is of very high quality. Have already started training my second dog on this too, in an attempt to keep both dogs fit and healthy for competition. I highly recommend this item. Was easy to train, is of high quality, and I feel a real asset to our training regimine.

I purchased a large Fitpaws donut and a donut holder from Amazon. Love the Fitpaws donut but returned the holder. When I initially inflated it the ring (which is all one piece), it inflated unevenly resulting in an unlevel, lopsided looking ring. Within a week (and only a couple of brief use sessions) it was leaking air so I returned it. For less money and a little bit of my time I went to Home Depot and purchased 2 lengths of vinyl braided tubing, the first longer and of a slightly larger diameter than the second. The first formed the base ring and the second tube served as the connector by fitting snugly inside the larger diameter tube. The guy at Home Depot cut the lengths for me and ta-da it was made. No glue or other parts needed. Will never leak and is virtually indestructible for this purpose... so really, don't waste money on the inflatable holder!

If your dog struggles with stairs or getting in and out of cars, a little work every day on the donut will do wonders! My wife is a physical therapist. She points out that this is essentially a physioball for dogs. It works pretty much the same way - causing the body to develop greater core strength by doing common movements on an unstable surface.

Our Boston Terrier tore her knee ligament, and after surgery the physical therapist recommended using this ball (donut) for stretching exercises. Along with her regular physical therapy it has been an invaluable part of her now full recovery. A very sturdy, well made product that can help injured animals.

We had this piece or a few months and sadly it popped the other night. Now it's out of stock and I'm not entirely sure why this one popped. I will likely reach out to the manufacturer about this.

Puppies love this - carefully supervised it’s an excellent ‘what is it?’ Training tool as well as a good strengthening tool for older dogs.Easy to ‘build’, this is robust equipment.

Super, wird erfolgreich in der Hundephysiotherapie eingesetzt. Die kleinen Hunde absolvieren Übungen komplett darauf und die größeren nur mit den Vorderpfoten oder den Hinterpfoten.
