Talatta -True Gourmet Mediterranean Anchovies - Acciughe Salate, 3-Pack - Made in Italy

Are Talatta True Gourmet Anchovies the best anchovies? That's a slippery subject, so to speak. Anchovies are of course not an industrial product, churned out the same day after day. But of course there are good anchovy brands to be sought after and mediocre anchovy brands to be avoided. For the price the Talatta are excellent Italian brand anchovies that you should always keep an eye out for at the local market or order on-line. They are, to my taste, much better than any of the lower priced brands brands that an American is likely to find at the supermarket, most of which seem to come from Spain and Morocco. I have used these anchovies in a number of sauces and preparations and the taste and texture have been excellent. RECOMMENDED.

I bought these anchovies after being disappointed by the quality of the product in the grocery store. One can that I bought in the store did not have a single whole filet. I was really pleased with the first order of the Talatta anchovies as I felt that the quality was excellent and I thought that it was great that I could see the product in the jar. However the anchovies in the last order were of such poor quality that I will not use then. They looked like they were either over processed or stored for a very long time. They came out of the jar as "mush" not whole filets and I will not use them. I am again on the hunt for a reliable source of anchovies. Should the seller wish to see the product I would be happy to send them a jar of the bad anchovies.

After a trip to Spain, we have a taste for the wonderful anchovies they serve everywhere. I realize these are from Italy, but they do bring the memories.

Very good high end anchovies. Super umami flavor and not too salty. From Italy as most good things are!!

Anchovies, the mere mention of the word makes most people cringe. I love them on pizza with roasted garlic. It makes me kissably sweet. Treat yourself to something good if you love anchovies and don't if they make you cringe. You get three jars and will love them if you love them.

OMG! These are so good on pizza. Not too salty. All filets nice and whole (21 in my jar). Great texture and taste. Crisp up nicely when baked on a pizza.

Big disappointment, not worth money I paid for..

I was really looking forward to receiving this item, I'm not sure what happened in the transportation process but all three jars lacked any fillets, everything was a brown liquid .
