King of Scissors
These are old school, do-not-run-with, massive scissors. They are very well made and what I would call heirloom quality---they have more in common with a cast-iron block plane than they do with your average pair of scissors. Scissors today tend to have plastic handles that hide the fact that the metal parts only extend an inch or so into the handles (less metal frame=less weight=less material the mfr has to use=higher profits). These are the real deal, the real McCoy, the brass ring---I gave them 4 stars for ergonomics only because they are so heavy and anyone with small hands is going to have a tough time operating them. I'm just being honest. Overall, these are extremely well-made, no-compromise scissors that, given their mass, sharpness, and size, could also serve as a lethal weapon. If you take care of them and keep them oiled they will last indefinitely.

Well-built, durable, great edge longevity
Beautifully weighted and great ergonomics. Our technicians love all Wiss shears but especially this model for how lightweight it is compared to others of the same length.Great durability and longevity of the edge sharpness. We mostly use them to cut microsuede fabric, reinforced vinyl fabric, leather, and various rubbers/foams like neoprene and EVA foam.

Awesome
These are the best scissors I've ever used, I do flat roofing... fibertight, empd, tpo, sarnfill, and other pvcs. These cleanly go through anything comfortably. They are freaking massive and I can easily cut 6"x6" patches with one snip... awesome

These suckers are big!
I use scissors a lot for outside garden jobs, and I ordered these with grass edging in mind; turns out they’re a little heavy-duty for that, weight and length wise. However, I have a huge screw pine (palm-like plant with sword shaped leaves edged with sharp spines) that these beauties are perfect for trimming- they cut through those evil leaves like butter. Good tool.

Huge Scissors
We needed something big and strong to cut denim insulation. This is the perfect thing. They cut through the 4" or 6" thickness well.

Are you ever going to love these if you're looking to cut through materials like ...
Are you ever going to love these if you're looking to cut through materials like jute mat for hillside or other gardens, carpet and other dense materials. I gave a pair of these to prefessional gardeners this summer, they were shocked because they are BIG, and grateful that they are sharp! Too funny!

solid!
I work for a company putting together saddle blankets for horses. I use these for cutting fleece, filler, leather and pretty much everything else I need.works exceptionally well, sharp, well balanced, easy for me to use, but one caveat - if you are NOT over 6' and don't have big monkey paws for hands, get the smaller ones. my other co-workers can barely lift them, let alone use them properly.the smaller models are no less amazing and work just as well.these are 12.5" OVERALL, with a 7.5" cutting area (just to clarify) but for all but the largest jobs, that's plenty.

Craftsmanship!
I run a fiberglass boat repair shop. These are and indispensable tool. I can cut Fabmat and woven with ease. Regular mat like paper. I sharpen them once every 9-10 months. They still cut fine, but tend to bend the lighter mating when starting to dull. Outstanding product!
