Grizzly G0557 Box and Pan Brake, 24-Inch

Works well, delivery was a bit of a pain since it was shipped freight, had to have the package re-routed to my office and meet the truck at the loading dock or pay more for them to lower the lift gate at the house.The brake is awesome.

I am a retired sheet metal worker and I bought this to putter around with in the garage. I will give it 5 stars primarily for value because I know the cost of a true shop quality brake. Let me say unequivocally this is not a professional grade piece of equipment!But I did not expect it to be at this price. It is very capable of light medium gauge work, say up to 20 gauge (full width) and smaller pieces of 18g. I would not expect much more. It comes fully boxed in 7/16ths plywood and coated in heavy oil.

It shipped super fast, good on that. Got it today.The quality is horrible. Nothing lines up, the handle for the lift lever will not thread in, and that is likely the least of the issues.I will spend the weekend attempting to get the thing in order, but I have serious doubts that this can be done when I look at how off alignment the framing is to the press itself... I mean it is ridiculous... and I know a thing or two about manufacturing things, I promise you, there is absolutely no excuse for how bad this thing is put together, none whatsoever, it's flat out shameful.I would rate this press at -5 if I could.There is 99% odds that I am sending it back on Monday, Tuesday at the latest. It's Friday, so I do have the weekend to fiddle with it, if I decide I should even bother doing so.

Not as Great as posters would lead you to believe.The Cam adjusters are sloppy and not IMO checked at any quality control asone of the pins on mine didn't fit correctly (over sized) and was jammed in place making itan un operable component. it was an easy fix for me but some my not have the tools tofix it. Also upon arrival both the set screws for the cams were bent and not usable. Alsoneeded to replace them. I had hardened bolts with the right thread size. Again some may not.All in All, I do like it but it's not what I expected coming from Grizzly.This is not a precision piece of equipment but for the home or garage well worth having !!!!

excellent value for the money. I had to deburr the edges of the fingers and ream the holes to 1/2" to get the fingers to seat properly. Tested the brake on a piece of .016 aluminum color-clad. There were some dents in the metal where the fingers didn't align exactly. I could feel the dents with my fingers, but I couldn't see them. Good enough for 5 stars. (It took about 2 hours to clean and adjust the brake)

I have had this thing for some time now... While I don't use it very often, it sure comes in handy when I do.I used it just this weekend to bend some white aluminum, to cover the stoop of my front door, and to fill in a space at the top of the door.It has worked perfectly for me over the years.

Nice quality piece. DId the the job I bought it for with out any problems..I even tried it on some thicker matl. than its rated for and it worked flawlessly..Would definitely buy it again..
