I've read reviews that say these wear down quickly. I can believe that if it's the only tool you're using to clean your grill. I've found that they work really well if used in combination with a brush, a sponge, and dishwashing detergent. These bricks are great for scrubbing off baked-on crud, AFTER you've scrubbed with the brush and sponge. So far, I've used only one brick out of the pack of four for cleaning a stainless steel grille, and it looks like it will last through several more cleanings.

This works very well for cleaning grills, but don't do it while it's installed. This will shred into dust as you remove buildup from your grill, and it will take a lot of effort to get it all cleaned up. The block is harder thank the carbon build-up, but softer than the grill.

Really cleans grill better than anything else. Make sure you run a wet napkin over grates when finished. Love it

This is a good product, but it seemed to wear down faster than other grilling stones I have used.

Using this on gas barbecue with cast iron grate. This is the quickest and most effective way to clean the grill. The pumice is lasting quite well, so it's also going to work out to be cost-effective. It does leave a bit of a powdery residue, so I wipe the grate with a damp cloth afterwards.Using the pumice instead of a bbq brush, avoids the scare stories associated with brass bristles getting into food.
