The tale of the lost key
While we were camping, my wife and I got in an argument, and I got in the truck and drove off to “get some air” (aka listen to tay swift and get reaaal emotional). Anyway, the Thule key was on top of the truck. It fell off somewhere. No problem, I said. I’ll drive the road again and find it.Well, my friend, the road had 6 inches of sand on it. The key was gone. What was stuck in the box? We only found out when this wonderful replacement key arrived in a timely manner.Fits great. Nice value. Wish it had the plastic handle but this is real life and teal life can me hard. Right tay? Thanks for listening.

A great company and amazing service.
I bought a Benz GL450, it had original Benz roof racks. Told the dealer to take it off, they said they don't have the keys. After months they told me that they have to send an order to Germany , not sure how long it will take, not sure on the price and definitely not sure if it will work but I will have to pay a deposit in advance !.Ordered this so cheap and worked like a charm and was able to take the racks off myself.Thank You !

Ordered 2 different keys, plus 1 I gave wrong number
each time, 3 separate numbers came within about 1 week.Solid feeling, not the thinner type keys you might get with luggage. These feel like they will last. I ordered for 2 different boxes that I bought new, but were missing keys. The one that we ordered and didn't fit was due to poor stamping on the Thule lock, not the sellers fault. When I messaged the seller, I quickly got a new key in about 5 days.HINT: When ordering, Thule stamps the number to lightly sometimes. I ordered a key, both my wife and I "read" the number. Didn't fit. After looking with a magnifier saw the little "dots" that make the "0" into an "8".

Great key, shipped quickly -- just needed a little care the first time.
Really solved my problem -- I bought a used set of Thule rails, and promptly snapped the one key in half. Figuring I was out of luck, I did some searching, and was happy to see this option on Amazon. I ordered by my key number, and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the replacement turned up in my mailbox. The instructions in the packaging caught my attention: There's a suggestion to lubricate the lock before trying the new key. This might explain some of the problems other buyers have had: These old, cheap cylinders have been out in the weather, some for years, and can get... "sticky"? rusted? reluctant?I happened to have some dry graphite powder lock lubricant (available in most hardware stores for those in a rush, probably available here, too; definitely better than using something that will gum up or drip all over your car, etc), and obediently shot a bunch into each lock. Then, carrrefully inserted the replacement key, and started gently working the lock. Of the four, three put up a bit of a fight, and one worked right away. Once they were unlocked, the mechanism worked flawlessly. The keys are great. Period. Worth the money. Any trouble anyone is reporting is likely due to the lock, not the key.Very glad to have found this option -- and will quickly recommend this seller to friends with racks / boxes. Stay safe out there!

Key's were mis-cut and seller avoided fixing their error
Ordered these keys for a a roof rack system. When I received the keys it immediately clear that they had been mis-cut (no teeth and the cutter had just flat cut all the material off). Contacted the seller and was given some excuse about there not being teeth to preserve the tumblers. I work at a dealership, I cut keys almost daily, I don't appreciate being lied to when you, the seller, clearly screwed up. Tried resolving the issue with the seller but the seller refused to recut the key. The keys don't work and for what it costs it's not worth my time to argue with a shady seller. Would definitely avoid this seller.

didn't work
I bought the blank master key for inserting my Thule lock cores (I lost mine somewhere) The key arrived promptly, but it is very slightly the wrong size. it goes into the lock but the lock core won't go all the way into the hole where they belong. After screwing with it for an extended period of time, I went to the Thule dealer, where I borrowed a factory key. I inserted the lock core easily on the first try. While there is no obvious difference, there is something subtle that keeps this key from working. As I did not purchase a cut key, I can't comment on how well they work, I suspect they are fine.

Keys work great!
I bought a used 20 year old Thule box for a road trip and it only came with one key. I wanted a few more as backups in case I broke or lost mine. I ordered on a Thursday and had the keys on Monday. Service was quick and the keys work perfect. I can’t say much more as the review is simply for precut keys.Pros-AffordableFast shippingKeys work perfectKey has number stamped on in case you own multiple boxesCons-None

Unavailable from Thule for months
Ordered this off Amazon, it was quick and easy to order and a much stronger key than the key that came with my Thule bike rack. It did require that I run it on the bench grinder to smooth the keyway before it would fit into the cylinder. I've used it several times since without issue.Thule advertises that replacement keys are available for purchase but as of August 2020 it has shown as unavailable for at least three months. I wanted to replace one of my original keys that bent when unlocking the rack during a ride this summer. The keys that come with the bike rack are not as thick as this one and can bend easily.
