I don’t usually enjoy brushing my dog because my picky little long hair chihuahua terrier mix hates being brushed so much. I have always used a regular small sized slicker brush and never tried a self cleaning brush before. When I saw this newly listed self cleaning brush which came in 2-pack, it seemed like a good deal so I decided to give it a try. It turned out be a wonderful experience for both me and my dog.The brush is a little bigger than I expected, but works great for my 12 pounds critter. It’s not heavy. The long bristles are not too harsh on the skin and not pulling the hair. I can tell that my dog enjoys this brush more than the old one. The best part for me is with only one push on the button after brushing, all the hair came off so that I don’t have to pick the hair off the bristles using my fingers. Money well spend!

Push the button, above the handle, all the way in until the brush is active by pushing the angle wires out. Brought it for my 4 year old out door cat she hated it at first like most pets but after five minutes or so she was happy, but after five minutes I had removed almost all of her summer coat off which is great, because she was done with me. She has thick hair half mancon all black with green eyes

I sought these out for the protective cover! We have another slicker brush where the wire pins have gotten crumpled over the time of its lifespan. It still works, buuut... we got this specifically to keep in our dog travel bag (it helps us carry food and waste bags and all the things we need for our dog in one convenient place while traveling). I wanted brushes that I knew we would always have while traveling, but that I wouldn’t have to worry about destroying.Once our old brush gives up the ghost I will 100% replace it with these!

These are really pretty good brushes, especially when you factor in the price. Just an FYI in case it isn’t clear, these two brushes are not the same. One has stronger metal bristles, for getting through those little clumps or tangles. The other is the kind you often see, where the little bristles look kind of like staples, more for brushing and fluffing when things are in reasonable condition to start with. With just these two, puppers can go from kind of tangly to pretty respectable fairly easily and quickly, so it’s a pretty good duo. And yes, it does let you “eject” the fur from the brush easily as well. (FWIW, I also use a rake comb for the real clumps)

I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to carding wool and decided to give this product a try. What drew me in was the green brush with the smaller tines and the self cleaning option.The pink brush has a bit larger tines and our pup and cats absolutely love being brushed with it. The brush is easy for our kiddos to use on the animals and we don't have to worry about them hurting the animals or themselves.The self cleaning button is a great addition to these brushes. No more tugging and fighting little hairs. Everything comes loose easily. The ergonomic design of the handle fits comfortably in your hand as well.I would recommend these.

Wire bristles still stick though and that makes it hard to clean. Amazon sent a replacement and it has the same issue. I like the presentation and neatness of the product but it's cleaning feature needs to be resolved. (The slicker brush with the soft ball tips is great. It is sold as an individual brush. The balls slightly stick through the top when cleaning but does not disrupt cleaning the hairs off. My cats love it so I got another one for back up.)

I got this product while it was on sale and for the price I worried it might be junk, but it has been a very good product. I have Labs and they do not have long hair, not sure this would be good for long haired dogs, but overall just a good value for the money. Came packaged nice and the brushes even have a cover that came with each one to use when not using the brush. My boys like them as long as I do not push to hard.
