We all live in a. . .
This is a very fun toy for the 4-8 set. It is well built and reasonably sturdy. Can't be used as a hammer. The view is quite clear and better than I expected. As others have commented, the view is narrow. At 25 feet, the view is two feet wide. Kids won't care. Or you can pay $65 for a real one.

Brilliant gadget!
Excellently designed and executed toy. I realized why when I saw where it was made: Italy! Not another crummy piece made in China. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the mirrors weren't perfect - but that would have made these periscopes too expensive instead of the low price they are. And the mirrors ARE perfectly adequate for child use. I'm just a nit-picking adult!

7 yr old says it's ok.
My 7 yr old son got some water in it, so not showing good image anymore, but he was pretty happy with how he spent his money.

Good quality, works well
Only subtracting 1 star due to inability to choose color upon order.

For the price not bad, only fult seems to be there should be clear plastic cover over openings so mirrors don’t get smudged by inquisitive little fingers🤷♂️ My two grandsons really enjoy it and so far it’s held up some rough treatment 😏

Pretty much useless
It's blurry to look through, and you can only see a very small area through it, like looking through a pinhole held close to your eye. Pretty much useless. Makes an okay gag gift though.

A Long and short of it.
I bought this as im 4ft 11, and our local pub has a high wooden fence which i cant see over when my boyfriend whos 6 ft 6, advice's me to look at something over the fence, i then use the Periscope to watch things. Handy if your small and handy to use any time, even at work to look into high cupboards. value for money.

Entertaining toy
I didn't buy this as a toy, I wanted to look under water in the pond to see the fish. The optics work OK in daylight, but they just aren't up to the job of seeing what is going on. Perhaps unfair, but I haven't seen a better periscope and this one is only useful as a toy.

A bit flimsy but fun
Mirror fell out as flimsy construction. We glue gunned it back and now rock solidThey work fine nowIf I got any more I would perform prophylactic glue gun surgery to the mirror bearing areas.

Poor value. Tiny area of view
A real shame. I bought this for my bed-bound Dad so he could (hopefully) see more than the narrow view in front of his bed. It is much smaller than expected (so minimal view through the scope). Too small a view to even amuse children. It’s a toy, at best.
