Boys are HARD on these things. Seems to be designed for the hard knocks of young boys (or girls)
The medium size for 12+ worked for my 9 yo grandson. The larger size was no problem.

You can use either the strap alone for quick attachment, or both the strap and the built-in arm and leg wrap around for a more secure attachment.Can be slightly tight for larger individuals if you decide to use the arm and leg wrap around.Nice palm bar for protection during a fall. Overall, well constructed.

These pads are really awesome! If your kids scoot or skate, they need them! They are heavy duty, thick and have great protection.Just make sure you buy the right size. The colors are great, the velcro is great quality and they fit very comfortably. My kids all wear then without complaints.
