Overall I really like it. Bear in mind the following:- It’s large so you will likely to leave it on the counter- It does tip towards you so you will end up holding the back of it down a bit- The insert doesn’t fit every fruit perfectly, so it will only really work with... say 90% effectiveness. 80% if the fruit is particularly large.- The top part (the bit that presses down on the fruit) is fiddly to remove, so you will need to wipe it with a paper towel after every use (the rest come off fine, they can go in the dishwasher)I bought it to replace an electric one that is plastic, and as you apply pressure the squeezer bit turns automatically (changing direction every once in a while). Getting juice out with that one is *much* slower. You can be more thorough (if you manually apply pressure on different parts of the fruit, move it around etc etc), though only because it removes the pulp completely so you can eat that with a spoon. I think it was a good exchange, especially for £9 (used/refurbished)!!!BEFORE FIRST USE MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN IT WELL!!! When I wiped off the top bit that presses down, the paper towel was black with oil/some sort of industrial gunk, I do hope none of that made it into my juice.

Bought this from the "used" section and made a massive saving, arrived on time and wasn't used at all, it did however, have a missing bolt making it unusable... But a trip to my local hardware store and 20p later it was working as it should .. and oh boy does it work! You can squeeze almost anything in here. Amazing orange juice, zingy grapefruit juice, sweet apple juice, tart lime and lemon juice! The list is endless! It's a solid, well made, impressive looking heavy juicer. A great buy. But think I now need to find a wholesale fruit trader

I needed something to make my margarita habit a bit easier, all that lime squeezing was taking the fun out of my Friday night cocktail of choice. I opted for a used version as a fraction of the price. Can’t see what was wrong with it and it works like a dream. So happy with it, it’s sturdy and easy to use and clean.

Easy enough to operate and clean but doesn't seem to squeeze out all the juice on the very edge of the oranges

It’s a preposterous and very “blokey” piece of kitchen kit! It’s very effective on oranges, lemons and limes ... and, to a lesser extent, grapefruits. Very easy to clean.
