Designed in collaboration with our friends at Mountain-Mama, this is the first harness in the world manufactured specifically for pregnant climbers. Designed by women for women, the harness is fully adjustable with wide, flexible webbing. Its open design throughout the midsection accommodates a growing belly without bunching or squeezing and the side webbing connects low and away from the chest to allow arms full-range motion. The "X" strap design at the mid-back supports and cradles the torso. Who said you had to stop being active, just because you were pregnant? We're just here to help keep you and your baby more comfortable on your climbing adventures!

jabs into belly
I would have climbed much later into my pregnancy except that the metal at the thighs jabbed painfully into my belly when being lowered. I tried adjusting all the straps numerous ways, but nothing helped. I think one contributing factor was that the size range didn't cinch down small enough for me. If I could have gotten it snugger, then perhaps the thigh buckles wouldn't have jutted up and in once I put weight on it to be lowered. My pre-pregnancy dimensions were 5'4" and 125 pounds, decently in shape.

Tough to get comfortable
My climbing gym was finally able to reopen after being closed since March, but, being 30 weeks pregnant, I needed to scoop up a full body harness. I have now climbed with the harness three times. Climbing in the harness is fine. It is the takes and lowering that are incredibly uncomfortable! I still can’t seem to figure out the best way to adjust it to make it easier on my back. The best I’ve found is to have it as tight as possible around the thighs and at the pelvis then to keep the rest normal or slightly loose. Definitely check after each climb that straps haven’t loosened in areas you don’t want them to, because that will happen. All in all, this harness is fine for the short amount of time I’ll be climbing with it. Just wish it could be better.

DO NOT TRUST THE DOUBLE BACKED BUCKLES - CHECK THEM ON THE GROUND FIRST!!!
I used it this morning for the first time. Now that I’m 21 weeks, the bump is starting to make belaying hard in my regular harness. It was hard to adjust correctly and each time I got lowered, even though I adjusted and tightened the straps every time before a climb and tested it on the ground, it would put ALL the weight on upper back. I found out the double backed strap that connected upper and lower portions was coming COMPLETELY loose every lower. In fact even if you tugged at it a little bit at any angle, it would come completely loose. Made me feel totally unsafe and angry that this is touted as such a good product when they can’t even get double backed buckles right. Would not recommend.

Keep climbing! This is awesome!
This has been a lifesaver! I’m still able to continue to top rope indoors during my pregnancy with feeling safe, & like one bad momma! 💪🏼🤰🏻Of course 5.10c(s) are my limit @ 23weeks & still going. Belaying is no problem, & as our bodies change often...adjustment of my harness is almost needed weekly but once situated it’s pretty awesome!!! Thank you....climb on!!!

Painful
I don’t know if I set it up incorrectly or what but me and 3 of my friends tried to use this and all the weight went to the back and had me hanging in the air by my shoulders feeling not secure at all. And as I came off the wall it hurt my back so bad :( I had to stop climbing.

Great for maternity use, but need constant adjustment
Great for maternity use! Started using at about 26 weeks. Only issues are with the belay down - sometimes the lower straps dig into my belly and I have to constantly tighten leg loops to make sure weight distribution is good/allows me to be in a position similar to when using a regular harness.

Great solution for a pregnant climber
Fits well. The center of gravity will change so be prepared to crawl down the wall sometimes

works as expected- allows for climbing through pregnancy
The straps seem to loosen on their own somewhat, not enough to be a problem but do require some tightening after climbs. Allows for climbing comfortable throughout pregnancy
