You can tell by the smell:)
Researched the best cinnamon to buy and found out that there are several different types, the most common of which is the cassia cinnamon. The best seems to be the Ceylon as it has only very small amounts of coumarin compared to the cassia variety. As coumarin can cause kidney and liver damage, I decided to go with the Ceylon variety. The Naturise has a nice, subtle aroma and taste and is lighter in color than the cassia I purchased cheaply at a local farmer's market. One of the disadvantages seems to be that when baking or cooking with this cinnamon, the flavor diminishes more than with the cassia variety. But since I use the Naturise almost exclusively in my smoothies, it was definitely the best choice for me.

Very satisfying flavor
I've been adding herbs and spices that have antioxidant properties to my diet, and Cinnamon ranks high in antioxidants among the of common spices.I like the fact that this is Ceylon Cinnamon, which makes a difference.I use this mixed with shakes and I sprinkle a bit on my cereal in the morning. It has a -very- satisfying taste when consumed this way, and I need to explore additional ways to incorporate it into my diet.1 lb lasts a long time, and I plan to buy this brand again when needed.

Horrible product...smelled like petroleum
Horrible product...smelled like petroleum and tasted awful. Went to a local health store and checked their stock of bulk Ceylon Cinnamon...it smelled like mild cinnamon (as I've been told/read it should).DON'T buy this product. As an aside (and this is probably why I've actually followed through and taken the time to write this review), it is not returnable.

Got new bag and it is good!
Update! I contacted the Naturise about the bad bag I had received and they sent me a new one! I just opened it up and it smells and tastes good! So I can recommend this now! Customer service was quick to respond! (1st review: We can't use this in our food! When I opened up the bag I got a horrible toxic smell, I am guessing the glue maybe that was used to put the bag together??? Next day it still smells horrible. I was too scared to put this in my kids oatmeal, and won't be able to use it... It is that bad. Not sure if I just got some sort of freak bad batch or what! Very disappointing, I was so hopeful that I was getting some good cinnamon. :()

Extremely High Quality Ceylon
I have tried nearly very ceylon cinnamon product marketed here on Amazon, and this is the finest of all - no contest. Actually mixes far better in my black coffee than any other brand has. Highly recommend. Never stop selling this. I will be a repeat buyer.

Great Cinnamon!!!
Fantastic sweet and mild taste; this is the correct type of cinnamon recommended by my doctor as part of lowering my LDL and triglycerides. I have 1/4 tsp at least twice a day in coffee or oats. Great value and will buy again.

Flavor is good-would like it more finely ground
The flavor is good but it's not ground to a fine powder as is your typical grocery store cinnamon. I'm using this for its medicinal properties and use 1 tsp on my oatmeal. It leaves a gritty residue in your mouth.

Not Good Cinnamon
When I sprinkle this cinnamon I can barely smell a cinnamon odor. What I do smell is more like a wood smell I get when sanding on a wood project. No cinnamon taste either. I had been using another brand, which is no longer available, and it was darker in color and smelled and tasted much better. I would not recommend this product.
