Youth Padded Compression Shirt Vest Rib Chest Protector Football Baseball

This is the second shirt with padding we have purchased and my son and I like this one the best. The side padding is great for my son's confidence during player pitch for the 6-8 year old league. The overall area for the front pad is a little smaller than other brands, but overall this is great. On the size, I purchased a Youth Small for a 6.5 year old that weighs ~46 lbs. and and find the fit to be great. As we all know, the mental aspect when playing sports is just as important as the physical aspect. This shirt has given my son additional confidence at the plate and I feel a little better as a parent and coach. In regards to the durability, we have already washed this multiple times and there are no issues with the seams or areas containing the pads. Keep in mind that these pads are little squares that make up a grid. For impact, you want there to be some degree of room for the squares to slightly separate upon impact, which helps absorb the energy of the incoming ball/object. We have had no issue with the durability of this shirt. Overall, I would certainly recommend this product.

My son uses this for football. It was a great option for not breaking the bank. Very easy to clean.

My daughter wears this under her softball uniform and I like that is has the side protection.

This padded compression shirt is awesome! It fits snug, if you have a stocky child , I would go a size up. The pads are in perfect places for baseball as well as football! Washes well and I hang dry it! Well made and it is nice to wear a tank top under it so you can absorb the sweat on a hot day! It’s sleek and no one can even tell your child is wearing it if they are self conscious! It gives confidence to the hitter when they get hit by a bad pitch because there is a pad at the lower back as well as the heart /sternum area when pitching! I love this product and highly recommend it! I will be buying this shirt again!

Not gotten much use with all baseball activities canceled or postponed since the item arrived. I feel it will be a good protector for my 10 yr old who plays both travel and league baseball. I like the extra padding on the sides and lower back. Of course as a mom I want to protect my child as much as I can. There can be some wild throwing pitchers so if he turns and takes one in the lower back I feel good with him having that extra padding. He is a fairly small/thin kid and of course I’m a mom who wants him to be safe. the fit is good and think it will fit next year too (which is good because not sure it will get much use this year sadly). I struggle ordering clothes fit him online. He is 10 and around 60 lbs. we got a medium and a small might have fit more snug like his others but it is still not so big he can’t use it.

The fabric was lightweight and fit well but the shirt fell apart very easily. My son has had many compression shirts prior to this one and none of them fell apart. The padding in this shirt doesn't last long. All the little padding pieces started to fall apart and bunch up. I had to throw it out and go buy a new one at Dick's Sporting Goods.
