PureMate Tower Fan, 43" Oscillating Tower Fan with 3 Cooling Fan Speeds, Large LED Display, 12-Hour Timer, Portable Floor Bladeless Fan for Bedroom Living Rooms Office

I purchased this Tower Fan after my previous fan no longer rotated and I wanted a replacement to use in the bedroom when the room gets too hot. I admit the reason for buying this particular fan was price and customer reviews. On the plus side, the fan does what it says on the box, which I more than happy with. The downside is the function buttons being awkward to operate in the dark, and the manufactures need to have every press of a button, on the fan or the remote, transmits a very loud beep. Why would a manufacturer incorporate a very loud beep on a fan that they know will be used in the bedroom. Not ideal when you wake up in the night and decide to turn the fan on......beep, beep, beep, beep.....everything set how I like it....ooops my partners now awake due to the very loud beeping. Why couldn’t they have incorporated a mute button as an option. Why didn’t they mention the fan beeps at every press of a button, in the fans specification. Another negative is the fans electrical lead is only 1.4m long, where my previous fan had a 2m lead. Would I buy another fan....YES.....but not this one.

When the fan arrived it came inside just the box and there was no extra packaging for it but the inside packaging seems to work.The setup of the fan was simple and the instructions were easy enough to understand.Whilst setting my base up though I noticed the inner circle area where the cable goes through is cracked but once the tower is placed in it becomes unnoticeable.The fan itself is sleek and stylish and comes complete with a remote control which slides into the back of the tower unit where the carry handle is located for extra storage.The fan is so much easier to store then any other fan I have ever owned.This fan has 3 speed settings which are low, medium and high.It also has 3 wind settings which are normal, natural and sleeping.The natural setting seems to change the speed settings whenever it needs to and I think sleeping keeps it on a low setting but I am not fully sure.You can control whether the fan rotates or stays in one position just from the press of a single button (which are placed either on top of the tower or on the remote control provided.)The room temperature is displayed on the tower which is a nice added bonus.1 year warranty is also nicely appreciated.Overall I would happily recommend the fan to anyone as it does do its job but bare in mind that it doesn't seem to be as powerful as some fans I have owned but this could be because I havent been able to test in really hot temperature yet and if I can edit my review in the future I will.

I bought this fan recently, and I'm so glad I did with the hot weather we've been having this bank holiday! The fan looks great in my living room... I wanted a white one and this is perfect and very discrete (not like the unsightly ones we had before!). It also doesn't take up that much room compared to the ones we had before.The remote is great and came with the battery already, which was very handy. You can do everything from the remote, including setting a timer which would be ideal to use in the night on hot summer months.The different modes, including replicating a summer breeze, is a lovely feature that we've never seen on a fan before. The setting alternates between blowing gentle and stonger 'gusts of wind', which is sometimes preferrable to having a constant flow of air.All in all we love the fan and I wouldn't be surprised if we buy another for the kitchen before the year is out!

Genuinely not a bad fan. It cools you quickly and easy to use. The luminated digital display switches off around 30 secs/1 min so if you're sleeping it won't disturb you. General hum isn't bad as some reviews state. The biggest downfall and my reasoning for only 3 stars is that the base is really flimsy especially when putting it together. If you're not careful you could break the clips that you need to feed the power lead through. Also the base does wobble when not in use but this does not affect the fan when in use either stationary or in swivel mode. If you are care when assembling the base then I would recommend it as it does the job.

A friend of ours had purchased one of these and recommended it to us, especially for the 'Wind' function, so we ordered it to replace our current 14" oscillating floor mounted fan.To be honest, our existing fan is better. The new fan is noisier, both in the rush of air sound, plus the buzzing of the motor when the column rotates.The remote control feature is a bonus, as is the timer function, but they are merely embellishments. It is a fan first and foremost. The 'wind' feature is simply the fan turning on and off at intervals. It is noisier when blowing than my current fan, probably due to the shape and design. It is also noisier when rotating/oscillating. My old fan used the fan motor to drive the fan head movement and was silent, this one presumably uses a small electric motor as it gives out a distinct electric hum/buzz when turning. This is not ideal if you want to run this whilst trying to sleep. Not particularly impressed, especially for the price.

I chose “PureMate” as I have other products they make, and have been very happy with them all...It Does what it says on the box.It’s quiet and can be used at night, with minimal disturbance...Easy to use controls, plus the remote control is an added bonus, and can be stored at the back of the unit...The Automatic variation of the power reflect a more natural type of breeze is quite clever.Love the fact it has a temperature gauge, and a 12h timer....Plus the fact they come with a 2Yr guaranteeAll together a good piece of kit.
