Fila Skele-Toes Bay Runner Shoe

Right big toe seam torn after only 3 days of wear. Returning item to DSW, and hope to find another of the same brand/size/style. I otherwise love these, and wore them every chance I could.

Eh. These shoes are just barely OK. Bought 3 pairs in different colors/sizes for my kids - they are nothing super special for the price, the shoe material is kind of weird and stiff, the top and toe box is hard to get into and uncomfortable, and they are very difficult for children to put on by themselves. My 10yo son's foot shape made it so his 4th and pinky toe didn't even reach the toe of the shoe, so the fit was very uncomfortable...I even re-ordered a size down, but it was no better, had to return them both. My younger two kids have more "square" toes, but it's almost impossible for them to put these on alone (they are 7 & 5, old enough to dress themselves!) - and once they're on, they just don't like the feel of the in-between-the-toes thing. This means they rarely wear them. So much for my idea of getting them all a nice pair of "barefoot" shoes they can kick around in everywhere we go all summer! *eye roll* I'll know better next time, and get them water shoes that have a regular toe box. Sorry, Fila - this one was a flop, I'm very disappointed to have spent $120 on 3 pairs of shoes my kids won't wear.

I got these for my 11 year old Nephew's birthday. He wanted some 'toe' shoes since he saw his adult cousin wearing some when we met with them at a lake this summer. He loves wearing them! He loves the color as red is his favorite color. I liked the style of them for the first toe shoes that he has. He swims in them and wears them all over. I read reviews about kids having problems putting these on. My nephew doesn't seem to have a problem. He likes the elastic strings with the lock on them. At first there was a lot of extra string flopping and was afraid his puppy would chew them, but he worked it so after he cinches them tight, he tucks the strings underneath the center string. Would highly recommend these to anyone looking for 'toe shoes' for their child. His mother even put them in the washer when they were wet and got left in a bag a few days. Came out looking new.

Got these for my seven year old son, he wore them for 18 days and the bottom cord started to unravel. He loves them so I wanted a replacement, the store no longer had them. They were terrific with a refund and I was able to find another pair elsewhere. Let's hope they last!!

They are great for swimming not too sure about anything else, comfortable.. but they do run a lil small bought my son a half size up and they fit perfect .

I own a pair of fivefingers and bought these "fourfingers" for my daughter. Besides the obvious difference that two smallest toes goe in one pocket, the sole of these shoes is much harder, no bearfoot effect what so ever. Its ok for hot months of arizona as the little feet wont burn (like mine in fivefingers) however i would not recommend theses shoes if you were looking for an alternative to being plain bearfoot.UPDATE: Before buying this pair I'd read a review that stated these shoes didn't have antibacterial soles that caused the fungus on little boy's feet. So I thought whatever till my daughter got the same problem after a week of wearing. Again, I own original five-fingers I ve been wearing at least 4 times a week to the gym barefoot. Never had a problem. I decided to update the review and the star rating to warn the parents it might not be a good fit for the kids.

I purchased the shoes for my five-year-old son. He loves them. He did say the material was a bit itchy. However I believe after wearing them a couple times he will adjust. As far as the fit...perfect. So far so good. I would recommend these

The big prolbem here is toe socks. Tyhe shoes are cool and the kid loved them though, but man do they stink with no socks, and toe socks are really expensive unless you want to look like pippy longstocking.
