This is not only a fantastic buy from Amazon but this pair of 2-way walkie talkies is everything other people who reviewed and commented about them said. My wife & I enjoy them immensely as we chat back & forth in the supermarkets, stores, outside markets, festivals & wherever we are. The reception is great and they work indoors as well as outside. Not only are they a quality, very strong & well constructed 2-way radio, but they are also quite an attention grabber. When my wife & I use them in the stores, people nearby get such a smile & kick out of us using these units that you will invariably strike up a pleasant conversation with them. If you want to get away from all those annoying, everybody has my Cell Phone # & is constantly calling me, these little fellows are the ticket. They are very well made, very easy & simple to use. You DO NOT NEED A LICENSE to use them. They come with 2 antennas for each radio. One for short distance, the other is a bit larger for further distance. They also come with 2 well made stand alone chargers. Just put each radio into the cradled charger standing upright & within a few hours the radio is completely charged. It also comes with 2 straps for easy carrying. What can I say other than you will be quite surprised & pleased with this fantastic purchase from Amazon, which is selling them at a greatly reduced price. These small, well built units will also make excellent gifts & you won't be ashamed of giving them as a gift to anyone. No I don't work for the JUENTAI company who makes the product or Amazon who sells it. Neither did I get any kind of reimbursement or incentive of any kind for this excellent recommendation. I just enjoy letting other people know when there is an excellent product for their money, especially in this day of overpriced everything & terrible quality. I strongly recommend this pair of 2-way walkie talkies.

I wanted to love these, and the radio itself seems fine. It's a great smaller size for small hands and pockets. I like the different colors as well. The main thing, which is a big thing for me, is that there is no easy way to attach this to anything. It comes with clips you can attach yourself IF YOU CAN EVER UNSCREW THE MOUNTING SCREWS! Those buggers don't come out, or they didn't on my set! I got one out of 4 screws out, which is useless, and stopped right before they were stripped to nothingness. I don't know why they would possibly be put in that tight. I had my husband try (who is a gear and HAM small electronics guy), as well as another friend; and it was a no go. If you're backpacking or snowshoeing or climbing and you want to clip this to something....guess again. It loses 2 points for lack of convenience and portability. It could have lost more, since I really won't be using anything that I need to keep in a pack or pocket that can't be secured while on rope or while using hands.

I haven't check the distance yet, but reception is very clear while built quality is very good.

I have no option but join the choir of positive reviews because this pair - provided by vendor at a significant discount as a 'for review' item - exceeds my expectations and, apparently, goes beyond, supporting features that I will never use, need or even understand but, I suppose, it's good to have them just in case.So let's go methodically and start with the few negatives which they are two. And the 2 negatives are the clip belt installation which is a pain so BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THOSE SCREWS because they are small and they tend to drop and hide. Also, you MUST take out the batteries before you attempt to attach them or it's going to be 'mission impossible'. And, of course, it's the manual. It's not that the English is bad but some of the features such as the ability to "set up workgroup/users with unique CTCSS/DCS to prevent disturbance in the same frequency" are there but, I must admit, I have no idea what they do or how to actually enable them.What is important, however, is that these radios - can I call the walkie-talkies? - actually work and work well and there's no need to take a college-level class in 'radios' to actually use them. This is how they work:- Turn on power/volume on both radios- Set them both to the same channel (there's an audio feedback the says 'channel 4' or 'channel 10' as you turn the knob)- Whenever you want to say something press what the manual calls 'the PTT key' (a large button on the side), have the radio some 6 inches from your mouth and say it. The person carrying the second radio will hear you and the range is about six miles if you are using the 'long' antenna.- The person at the other end can do the exact same thing to respond back, therefore the need to say 'over' when finished so you don't both talk at the same time.And this is just about it. I was surprised at the near complete absence of static, even when we were a couple of miles apart and using the 'short' antennae which translates into 'good quality' or maybe we don't have much radio pollution in our area which happens to be very sparsely populated. But we used them at a shopping mall and it was good as well.I am not going to go through the long list of features because they are all spell out at Amazon's page and half of them I don't understand. From a user point of view, I appreciate the fact that the radios come with their own chargers - 2 radios, 2 chargers that is - their small size and lightweight makes them very easy to wear once you install the belt clips and I like the option of using either a long or a short antenna, depending on how far apart you are planning to be. The earpieces are also nice to have but I can't see us ever using them.Other nice features that are good to have include the weather-resistant (not waterproof) build and the inclusion of a one-LED 'flashlight'.Capabilities that I will never take advantage off include the PC programming capability via the "QS standard programming software". You can also do 'channel scan' set the voice prompt to Chinese if you don't want it in English and adjust a few more settings but, like I said, I seem to be happy with the radios as they are preprogrammed so I may never learn to program in QS.So, besides the intense frustration I experienced when attaching the belt clips, this is still a clear 5 stars because I find it absolutely worth it for anyone who has a need for a pair of simple two-way radios. Since we happen to live practically 'in the woods' and we take frequent hiking trips in places where phones don't always work well, we can use these.

These are way beyond what I was expecting when I received them. Starting with the packaging, AMAZING for personal or retail purposes. Very clean, high quality box. Unboxing was a breeze. i love how it is sorted in the packaging. Great layout. Well thought out.The items quality blew me away. Starting with the handhelds and going to cords and chargers, they all are 5 star quality. These work way better than expect with a ton of features I didn't even realize. I love these. They serve multiple purposes for work and personal life. I will be purchasing more.I say there should be no hesitating in purchasing these 2-way radios. They look great, feel great. Overall these are a perfect item. The charge lasted a VERY long time.
