Gorgeous colors, but when knit, it is pretty scratchy. I will see if it softens up after washing. I love it anyway!

This one's a bit rough and keep your embroidery scissors handy to shear the clumpy loose bits of silk under control. It's time consuming but better to trim the yarn as you use it rather than having to do so when your project is complete. Hope it's gonna block well!

This yarn is just lovely. The spin is irregular, with lots of bits of fiber coming off of it. It's sort of like jute twine in effect. The colors are vivid, and change often enough to keep things interesting. In a small project, you'll get good color blocks. The fiber comes untwisted easily enough for a thready look for tassels and other embellishments.Working with it, it's a little on the stiff side, but it's not as scratchy as it looks. I found it works easiest with a size G hook, but with patience, I was able to use a size D hook. I'd recommend D-G for hook size. You can toss a finished piece in the dryer on delicate cycle to soften it up more. It needs to be gently handwashed or drycleaned. Wind your balls loosely and by hand. The small fibers like to lock together.I'm wild for this yarn, and considering buying enough to make a lacy, open work shawl. So far I've used it in small projects.
