Not worth it
I bought the book on sheer ratings it got. But utterly disappointed. The writer made her point about growth mindset in first 5 pages. It was painful to go over the same point for 200+ pages. While she may be extremely passionate about the subject I could not remain engaged and lost interest very quickly. The book is not for those having growth mindset.Sorry Carol Dweck, I had to put my thoughts out there for my fellow readers.

You are your 'mind set'
I am a retired professor of psychology. This book reads so very well that I read it in one go. The subject matter is presented in such a lucid manner it is difficult to disagree with it. While attitude or mental disposition could undergo changes by changing the 'mind set' what about inborn talents? What about individual differences. Can there be level playing field across the population?

Liked the firat half, second half was a stretch
I found the first half of the book quite insightful and could flow along on the idea of growth and fixed mindset. However then the book seemed to have lost newness and kept harping on the same thing for all of the second half. By towards the end of the book I started to become a non believer on the theme of the book. Trying to set a growth mindset on everything in ones life will drive people insane and miserable. They will be left dissatisfied and depressed and feeling that they have to keep trying instead of quitting and moving on to do something else which might be their calling.

Looks like counterfeit
Really disappointedI am ordering books from amazon from really long time . Every time I got genuine copy and experience was always great. But this is the first time I have this bad experience . Quality of book is really low . Where it found bent on top . Page quality is also really low and it looks like a pirated copy

The book is average at best. Don't buy from Asbook. Bad quality.
The quality of binding and printing is worst. Worse than pirated copy. MANY pages have print impression from the page behind rendering the text hardly legible.Talking about the book, the author is again and again making the same point countless number of times without getting any further. This is my experience after reading the first 25% of the book. Lost all expectations about what it might have in rest of the pages.

Pirated Copy
The book in itself was good. The author has put in numerous examples to drive home the point. But the copy is pirated. You will see it from the minute you see it. Poor bind, terrible page quality, bad fonts. Shame that its being sold on amazon. And despite multiple reviews saying the same Amazon by itself has been completly ignorant towards this.

too long
A book that came highly recommended from so many different people that I finally took time to read it. Honestly, the only thing I can recommend are the end of chapter prompters else the author goes on and on about examples repeating herself endlessly and praising herself while at it. I dislike her writing style a lot and I cannot put my finger on what exactly bothers me though. She wrote this book like a yellow press article. Sample - ". Several years ago, my husband and I spent two weeks in Provence, in the south of France. Everyone was wonderful to us—very kind and very generous. But on the last day, we drove to Italy for lunch. When we got there and found a little family restaurant, tears started streaming down my face. I felt so nurtured. I said to David, “You know, in France, when they’re nice to you, you feel like you’ve passed a test. But in Italy, there is no test.” Parents and teachers who send fixed-mindset messages are like France, and parents and teachers who send growth-mindset messages are like Italy."Better reads on the same topic are "grit" and "talent is overrated."

Overall ok but somewhat disconnected
Author has put an effort to explain the difference between growth and fixed mindset pretty well, but while reading it looked somewhat disconnected between the chapters. And also the example celebrities used in the book are not very very famous or common, so someone reading this book need to have good general knowledge to relate the examples quickly.Another problem i see is the print quality. Very small font, doesn't make it easy to keep reading it, interest kept loosing due to this factor also

US Sports Centred Narrative Learning
Useful effort allows for learning and growth. Making effort useful requires a willingness to look at process and change what isn't working. Failure is a way of understanding that the effort wasn't useful and a tool to speed future progress. This book has salient information for everyone but the delivery is so laboured, it's easy to miss. You can get the gist by reading the summary at the end of each chapter and speeding through the final chapter (8), skipping around 75%.Definitely buy this book if:* you like your information delivered slowly in a narrative form and repeated* you have a big interest in US sports* you find social proof persuasive or motivating."How to Fail at Everything and Still Win Big" by Scott Adams would be a suitable replacement and is a much better investment of time.

Was mich etwas gestört hat: Ihr Buch beginnt Frau Dweck mit den Worten "No book has ever explained this mindset and shown people how to make use of it in their lives." Der Nobelpreisträger Santiago Ramón y Cajal meinte vor hundert Jahren schon: "Any man could, if he were so inclined, be the sculptor of his own brain."

Game Changer!
Every now and again you come across a book that is not just interesting, informative, insightful or educational, and not just changes the way you think, but changes the way you see the world. Mindset takes you through a journey of the differences between a "growth mindeset" and "fixed mindeset" what that means and how you can make a difference. Or try and make a difference. In your work life, your personal life, how you deal with colleagues, your friends, family and your children. This book is not a "tickbox" or a "top ten things you need to do" and the reason for this, is that the change has to come from within you. This book purley is a catalyst to empower you to make that change. I've purchased a copy for all my friends for Christmas.

Helped me find peace with how others treat me
Not only did it help me transform how I approach thinking about problems in a transformatively more positive way, it's also enabled me to clearly identify how significant others throughout my life (parents, teachers, bosses, colleagues, friends) think (fixed or growth mindset), which has helped me find peace with the way they judge(d) me. This has helped me shift out of feeling responsible for the way I've been judged and I've already shed lots of negative beliefs I held about myself either as a result of the way others spoke to me, or the way in which I spoke to myself with negative self-talk. It's repetitive, which annoys some people, but get this book and read it anyway. You can always take a break from it and dive back in later, you won't be sorry.

Repetitive and waste of time
The book is collection of examples. Examples of people with fixed mindset and growth mindset. Challenge yourself-you will succeed. After two chapters I gave up as it’s only examples and no actual psychology behind it. I would advise to start with Atomic Habits by James Clear to actually know how to challenge yourself and become better everyday.
