Unlike traditional bulb ear syringes that can damage the ear if inserted too far, the unique Aculife Ear Wax Removal Syringe features a flared tip design to prevent over insertion while effectively cleaning the ears and preventing ear wax buildup. The unique tip directs fluid to the ear canal walls using a tri-stream directional jet ensuring an even safer and more effective alternative to direct flow syringes. The ear wax removal syringe is used to effectively dislodge stubborn ear wax and other debris. Exit portals allow for drainage ensuring no pressure build-up occurs and any wax or debris is effectively drained safely away. For ear wax blockages it is advisable to soften the wax prior to syringing with the provided olive oil. This unique product is designed for home use and comes complete with full user instructions. Not to be used with children under 3 years of age.

Ok
Mine is different to the item image. I got a differently packaged ear oil that squeezes out so no dropper included. I was hoping to refill it :-(

Very easy to use, but you need patience to wait for the wax to soften.
This really works if you suffer from wax build up in your ears. However, you need to have patience; the olive oil takes a few days days to soften the wax in the inner ear - it needs to be applied twice a day and as it softens, it can make it difficult to hear properly.I treat one ear at a time and wait until the process is completed before I do the other ear - that way, I don't have too many problems if the ear blocks up and I can't hear anything out of it.This pack comes with an ear syringe, a dropper and a small bottle of virgin olive oil. It's a very expensive way to buy olive oil, as you could easily buy some from the supermarket at a fraction of the price, but let's not get too caught up in that. The dropper is an easy way to apply the oil - two or three drops per application are recommended. The ear syringe is plastic and comes with three separate heads to accommodate different ear canal sizes; they are designed with four holes at the tip, which squirt water sideways so that you don't squirt the water directly at the ear drum - some people have complained of damage when using devices such as the rubber squeezy bulb, although it worked OK for me (if you don't wait for the wax to soften, it can be an unsuccessful and painful experience).Just fill the syringe with lukewarm water after the wax has softened, and compress the plunger. The water squirts onto the sides of your ear canals and flushes the wax out. There will be a surprising amount of it!It's always a relief to be able to hear properly once the wax is removed. It's amazing what difference it can make when your ears are finally clear again. This is a nice all-in-one kit that provides everything you need to make your ears free from wax. Although it is cheaper to use your own olive oil, this is still a good buy - not everyone has virgin olive oil in their kitchen cupboards after all.

Not good for me
the olive oil worked well at softening the wax my ear had stored. Unfortunately it also succeeded in masking my hearing, an uncomfortable experience for a couple off days although not unexpected. The syringe bit was also somewhat uncomfortable (and a bit messy) but after a few goes it did the job.I don't think I'll use this kit again though as was clearing is quite an unsettling thing anyway for me. I don't find it easy at the surgery and it was even less so at home. Also, I'm not a hundred per cent certain that I got all of it out! At least at the surgery they can take a look.DIY ear-wax clearing want for me but it might be door you.

More comprehensive instructions needed
As with a few other similar kits what you get is a couple of items put together, but with no obvious instructions as to how to use them in combination. So I presume the drops are used according to the instructions on that part of the kit, and when that course of treatment is completed, and having softened the ear wax you use the syringe to clean the ears.To soften the ear was first in this kit is bottle of olive oil which has a separate dropper that makes application fairly easy (but not quite as easy as the kit that comes with a Naveh olive oil puffer spray), and should be used two times a day for seven days. The syringe is a fairly standard affair but with specially design detachable nozzle (of which three are included), The nozzles are flanged so as to allow the water to escape so preventing any damage to the ear. The instructions say to discard the bottle 28 days after opening, so you're not really going to get a lot of mileage out of the one bottle, probably just one course of treatment. This is fairly easy to use, obviously the syringing can get a bit messy especially if you try this unaided, but it is certainly a lot more convenient than a visit to the nurse at you GP.
