Pastel by Vivienne Women's Maxi Skirt with Elastic Waistband and Pockets

The waist band in this skirt is terrible. The elastic rolls within the fabric. It was so uncomfortable because it kept rolling up my torso. The fabric is very nice, as are the pockets, but it's not worth being uncomfortable. I am a size 8, so I don't think it's a weight related issue. The skirt is also very long, so if you're short, you're going to have issues. I'm 5'5 and it was long with the waist band falling right above my belly button.

Picture is after hemming.I loveeeee this skirt. It is super long on me (5’4” - wearing it just below my belly button) so I ended up hemming it up about 3” (by hand because I’m stubborn). Yes, the waistband is unattached, but a quick stitch by hand will fix that in less than 10 min, just make sure the pleating is where you want it before you do that. I like the jersey-ish material because it’s soft, but it can be a tad unflattering in certain areas since it doesn’t have its own shape. Overall, it’s exactly what I wanted since I despise the whole fold-over waistband thing and for the price it’s worth the small amount of effort it takes to get the way you want it.

The feel of the fabric is soft and it flows well. If I wear flats with it, I must wear the skirt above my belly button due to the length (I am 5'4" and purchased a Medium in the Navy).I am happy with the Navy color as it is a nice dark blue.The waist band is comfortable and a nice detail.The pockets are perfect for carrying my phone and markers around, and it doesn't bulge out when items are in my pockets.

Skirt is actually really nice. Unfortunately the elastic band does not stay in place and twists around within the fabric band. Bummer because I liked the skirt.

I had to order a replacement for a long navy knit skirt which had lost its spunk. This was a super replacement due to the reasonable price and the pockets, which my previous skirt did not have. Love the pockets and the fit.

I really like this skirt! Other reviews are correct in that the waistband is not sewn in, but I have washed the skirt and hung it to dry and that was not a problem. I may take a sewing machine to it, though, just in case. I love the fabric, although the olive color I ordered has a bit more blue undertones to it than I expected. Still, it will work great with most of my clothes. I’m excited to get lots of use out of this piece!Also, I’m 5’3 and this is pretty long on me. I just wear it kind of high and pick it up to go up stairs.

Awesome! So nice to find modest clothes, this skirt is perkefect. In the winter I will wear it with leggings to stay warm. I am 5 feet tall and just folded the top over so it didn't touch the ground. I plan on ordering more soon.

I love this skirt. It has pockets. I’m 5’11 and it was long enough for me to wear heels. I was impressed.
