The wildlife loved it.

Our woodpeckers love these!
The proof is in the eating! The woodpeckers and nuthatches absolutely love these. They go twice as fast as my suet cakes.

Beware squirrel magnet.
Birds LOVE it but unfortunately, so did the squirrels.

Seems to be enjoyed.
Birds aporove. They return, so it must be good enough. Generally holds together with finches & blue birdspecking at it. Survived two downpours of rain so far.

Great for backyard critters
I spread a layer of peanut butter and place some sliced fruit on top and them put them on the forest floor in the backyard, break out the binoculars and "BOOM" instant wildlife theater! One lasts about three days now but there are times in the season when they will go through one a day. I've seen stray dogs and cats compete with squirrels, bluejays, groundhogs, chipmunks (scrappy bad-boys of the forest floor) and, unsuccessfully, one skunk. The blocks seem to keep them away from the deer feeder so that's a plus!
