My yard deer and squirrels absolutely love Kaytee food
Fresh quality ingredients, my yard squirrels and deer absolutely love. I just wish they either had smaller bricks or multiple ones. That way the deer and the squirrels wouldn’t have to take turns. Works great!

Great for backyard critters
I spread a layer of peanut butter and place some sliced fruit on top and them put them on the forest floor in the backyard, break out the binoculars and "BOOM" instant wildlife theater! One lasts about three days now but there are times in the season when they will go through one a day. I've seen stray dogs and cats compete with squirrels, bluejays, groundhogs, chipmunks (scrappy bad-boys of the forest floor) and, unsuccessfully, one skunk. The blocks seem to keep them away from the deer feeder so that's a plus!

Great seed and mealworm cake that attracts many kinds of birds.
This is a great seed cake that attracts woodpeckers, wrens, finches, and others. It is much larger than a standard 4” square suet cake. I saw other reviews asking what size feeder fits this seed cake block. I ordered this wire cage feeder, and it fits perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CT66VMN2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Beware squirrel magnet.
Birds LOVE it but unfortunately, so did the squirrels.

Attracts sooooo many birds!!
This is our favorite type of suet cake, mostly because it contains mealworms and many others do not. Also, as others have mentioned both positively and negatively, it’s freaking huge. If you are going to buy these, purchase the giant suet basket to house these giant suet cakes or plan on cutting them to fit the smaller, average-sized baskets. We initially purchased just the one, hoping for bluebirds. Problem is, our neighbors seem to have saturated the bluebird feeding and housing market in our quiet country town. They all flock to our neighbors’ established eating and housing developments. We did have one day where they thoroughly checked out our bluebird house, but then they bailed. They have never even approached the food we set out specifically for them. Even bought one of those mealworm houses and some mealworms, but NOTHING. Oh well. They seem to like the roof of our house and we can see that birdtivity from the deck, so at least there’s that. We have goldfinch wars (a.k.a. finch fights) every few minutes when they are here. Sometimes they share nicely (see photos) and other times they act as though that giant block of food ain’t big enough for the two of ‘em. We also get (in central NY, zone 4b/5a): Multiple types of woodpeckers Chickadees Cardinals All kinds of sparrows House or purple finch Juncos Towhees (who only eat where cake remnants have fallen; seems they are ground feeders) Mourning doves (same behavior as the towhees) And, the only birds I could do without: crows and ravens. Although it is entertaining to watch a giant, ominous bird try to stay in the air while it attempts to eat from the suet.

Not User Friendly
This is not a "cake"; it's a cement block. It took a chisel and repeated slams to break it apart. You can't just set the whole big block out for the squirrels [thinking of rain and ants]. I gave it 2 extra stars because the actual corn and nuts seem good quality. I found no fillers or garbage.
