Good clean item
Item arrived quickly, well packaged and it works. The only disappointment was the resistance had to be turned to its lowest adjustment to get this thing to work.

Make sure the laser is new new.
I ordered 2 of these, 1 worked fine, the other one i had to lower the gamecube’s potentiometer all the way down to 152 for the laser to work properly.

Buyer beware
This is not new , and I bought 2 of these just as a backup and both failed , the original or new replacement laser I bought 2 years ago had an anti static solder point this did not had to revert to an old laser I bought last year and that read , however these 2 with tweaking the POT still no successful reads and ps all NEW laser assemblies with exposed FCC contacts have an anti static solder point to desolder and I inspected the flex cable under magnification. The FCC has wear associated with age

Not new at all. Shows obvious signs of wear and didn't work. Spent hours adjusting the pot before just giving up
