Excellent Performance, Adapter Needed
The Smart Bulb delivers excellent performance and seamless integration with smart home systems. The bulb offers a wide range of features, including customizable lighting and voice control compatibility. The only minor inconvenience is that the bulb comes with an Edison screw holder, requiring an additional adapter for Bayonet Cap sockets. Despite this, it's a top-notch smart bulb for enhancing your home automation experience

Lights on
Works perfectly. Set to come on when gets dark and I’ve become used to talking to a light bulb now :)

Work fine in most locations but sometimes prone to losing wifi
My family has loads of tplink kasa plugs, cameras and lightbulbs and by and large they all work well - but there are a few niggles1) Sometimes they are difficult to set up - because the phone can’t lock onto the devices local wifi. Sometimes Android phones fail and iphones then work easily; sometimes it’s the other way round.2) Once set up, the smart plugs and cameras lose wifi signal very, very rarely. With the bulbs, positioning can be more of a problem - even when the wifi transitter is close.… and finally3) tp link is clearly now pushing its Tapo range at the expense of Kasa (look at prices and availability) which, for us at least is a shame. But overall, if you can set them up ok, position them carefully, and not worry too much about the future, they are pretty good.

Happy with purchase but used to be better
The bulb used to come with an adapter, so it didn't matter whether you had an Edison or a bayonet fitting, it would fit straight out of the box. I purchased an adapter separately for less than £2, but it would have been nice if TP link still included one as standard.Onto the bulb. It's an economical smart, which has so far proved to be reliable. We have this in the loft, and it is working out very well. It hasn't lost connection once.An inexpensive and good quality smart solution. Recommended.

Great bulbs at a great price
Super easy to set up with the app and link to Alexa. Light is on the warmer side which I like and the dimming capability really helps on creating ambience to corners of my room. The companion app is slick and easy to use but I mostly just you voice controls through my Echo speaker.

VERY VERY difficult and fustrating to set up
I purchased a couple of these as I already had other TP-Link equipment including a router and energy monitoring sockets, and after a struggle I finally got two bulbs to work, which I am very happy with. However, I decided to add four extra bulbs and that's where my problems arose. No matter where I place the bulbs, including within 1m or the router and my phone, no matter what I plug the bulbs into, even in exactly the same location and holders as the ones that are already working, they give every indication that they are communicating (flashing as per set-up process) but then refuse to connect to the wi-fi. I also noticed that the bulb base starts to get quite hot.I have given three stars based on the ones that I have managed to get working, else my honest verdict would be one star and avoid.

Versatile WiFi bulbs at a great price
I've replaced all the light bulbs in my house with Kasa Smart bulbs. These are quite neat and compact bulbs. No bells and whistles, just plain warm white lights, and that keeps the price down. They are made by TP-Link so they should be around for a while and have decent support.Setting them up could be a bit easier - you have to connect your phone to their private WiFi with the Kasa app, which reads your WiFi details to configure the bulbs and connect them to your regular WiFi network. They work fine with Alexa too, but I find the phone app a lot more convenient. The app is decent, and allows you to control the lights - power on and off, dim them etc. You can schedule on and off times, and have them fade on or off. I love this feature and use it as part of my wake up alarm in the mornings. You can also group lights together - to let you turn on all the upstairs lights as a single command for example. It works fine away from the home too, so you can control your lighting anywhere in the world if you have an internet connection.I have had a few problems with bulbs apparently going off-line and being unresponsive to remote control, but that maybe my WiFi signal. They are easily reset by turning them off and on again, but it's a pain when it happens.I'd give them 5 stars if they didn't go offline now and then, but overall I'm pleased with these bulbs.
