Great Tool
Gotta say my first impression is very positive. It works extremely well on concrete, I haven't tried to work on metal so I can't say how well it works for that. It's impact strength is pretty good it nearly embedded itself into the concrete I was trying to chip away at. It has a decent weight and for me I was getting a bit tired around the end of the duty cycle of my air compressor which I would say makes it pretty good. It's size is perfect for smaller jobs I would say that it's also pretty durable.

Powerful, reliable, and worth every dollar
Iโve been using this Ingersoll Rand 114GQC air hammer and itโs been solid. Plenty of power for stubborn bolts, exhaust work, and general shop use. The quick-change feature is a big plus makes swapping bits fast and easy without slowing you down. Build quality feels durable and it holds up well under regular use. Definitely a great tool for both DIY and professional work. Would buy again.

Gun works well but hard on the wrist
This hammer gun is well made and takes some hard use. I bought it mainly because of manufacturer and it came with quick change bit holder. I used it for several hours tearing up 700 sq ft of ceramic floor tile and removing remaining thinset material. Granted the gun isn't designed for this use but it worked. Ran it with recommended 80 psi air pressure with 80 gal I R compressor. Out of the box I was surprised how heavy the gun was. Likes: Well made and heavy duty. Quick change bit holder. Nice size but long. Dislikes: Weight and balance very fatiguing on wrist. Has deep stroke making it difficult to handle. Have to apply lot of pressure to keep strokes short and rappid. Quick change chuck became dirty from dust and thus made bit removal difficult at best...even with oiling bit which made a mess. Air exhaust is around barrel and points toward work. Had to rubberband a sock around it to keep from spitting oil and blowing dust every where. Air pressure regulator knob at handle inlet would not stay in position...works back to full pressure. Shape of handle causes pressure against top of thumb web area and caused blister. Had to wear extra heavy glove plus taping padding to my right hand. I use high-flow aluminum air chucks and fittings. The vibration from this gun will destroy those fittings. I used 18" hose whip and had no problems after that. All this said, I can recommend this tool for normal short time uses. On my knees hammering on a floor for hours was not good for myself or the tools. I broke three 3" thinset removal bits. Welded the shanks and would break again in a different place. Used different manufacturers bits but still broke. Don't think it was fault of gun...just manner of non-stop use.

Good Bang for the Buck! Seems QC upped their game.
So far I've used it several times to "coax" rusted thing where I need them to be with great success. I'm a full time mechanic, and haven't had an issue in the 5-10 times I've had to pull it out of it's draw. I looked through the reviews after puchase but before receiving the air hammer, and I was a bit freightened. As of January 2020, all of the quality control issues I had read about have been fixed. Maybe the contract went to a new factory. Or someone up at the top lit a fire underneath the company that held the contract for IR. Either way, the grip looks good, I see no signs of bad machieing or bad molding. As for the tool galling or deforming the air chisels bits that are provided and being stuck in the quick release: Zero issue. Maybe the steel has been upgraded. Maybe others were putting in 8hrs straight on this tool. I've had zero problems with tool deformation and being stuck. I used some bits more than others. The tips of course so wear, but where the tool meets the bit all if fine. I did read that there where some internal failures as well. So far so good. But this tool comes out for about 15 minutes at a time. Or even less. If this is the only took you used for your entire 8hr shift, maybe look to greener pastures. If this tool is used to break loose a stubborn bolt on a Thursday afternoon and to knock out a axle on Friday. Then is is a good "bang" for the bucks. Over all: price, ease of use, and power are all great in my book. Just shoot some oil in her with every use and it should last a lifetime.

10/10 air hammer. If only it could break apart the relationship between my wife and her boyfriend. Would buy again. Canโt have it all in life unfortunately.

5.8 CFM at 90psi Air Compressor
This air hammer worked great. I used it to remove bushings from some leaf springs on a 39 Plymouth and it did the job easily. I cut thru the bushings from end to end then folded up the edges. Then put it against an edge and drove it straight out. The bushings didnโt have a chance. Before I used the tool I read the instructions and they said that the tool was coated with an anti- rust compound both inside and out. Use a suitable cleaner to remove then oil before using. Then plug in and operate for 5 seconds. Then pour oil in it and operate for 15 seconds. I have no idea what a suitable cleaner would be. I thought about mineral spirits but decided to use carburetor cleaner in a spray can. Stuck the red straw down the air supply hole and filled it up. Squeezed the trigger, filled with oil and ran it again. I used Kobalt air tool oil from Lowes. I was somewhat concerned because reading questions and answers concerning air compressor CFM it seemed this tool needed 90psi with 20 CFM under load, 4 CFM with no load. My compressor is 1.9 hp, 27 gal that puts out 5.8 CFM at 90psi. Iโve included a pic of it. I had no problems, the tool worked just fine. I use a drier system on my airline so I have 2 regulaters. One at the compressor I set for 110 psi. Coming from the drier I set at 80psi while squeezing the trigger of the tool. When I put it to the bushings, it went thru them like melted butter. This tool really saved me a lot of time and headache. Iโm glad I decided to try even with my concerns.

Good tool
Perfect for the job. Nice quality build & easy on the hand. Unfortunately, one didn't stand up too well & corroded after just 3 days of use. Photo #2 shows the worst one, after just 3 days use underground:(
