"Enjoy gaming, movies, TV shows, 3D, and more--without all those unsightly cables--using the DVDO Air3C WirelessHD Connection System. Ideal for gamers and home theater enthusiasts, the Air3 is fully HDMI compliant using 60GHz wireless technology to provide clear audio and video. This device can wirelessly transmit high quality 1080p HD video and 7.1 surround sound to an HDTV from any HDMI source. A transmitter, receiver, power supplies, two mounting brackets, and simple-to-follow instructions are included. Transmit Movies, Music, and More Wirelessly With the DVDO Air3C, you can wirelessly transmit 1080p HD video and 7.1 surround sound to an HDTV from any HDMI source, such as a cable or satellite box, a Blu-ray player, a DVR, an audio/video receiver, or a laptop. With its intelligent RF beam-forming technology, the DVDO Air3C creates a cable-quality wireless connection, so you can remove connecting wires that spoil the look of an entertainment center. The DVDO Air3C system offers an in-room range of up to 10 meters and can even bounce its signal off a wall or ceiling if you want to hide the system completely. 60GHz Technology to Prevent Interference DVDO Air3C features 60GHz wireless technology to deliver full HDMI video with surround sound without interruption. This is possible because other wireless devices such as mobile phones, cordless phones, and Wi-Fi networks use radio frequencies that are much lower than 60GHz, so they do not interfere with Air3C operation. Easy Installation Options Simple install, no setup, just connect and start watching. Product Information The receiver and transmitter each measures only 4 by 3.5 by 1". Each transmitter/receiver consumes 3W and can be powered directly from your TV"

Worked great for me on Dell laptops.
Was skeptical getting this thing even after all the reviews. I must say it works perfectly on several different business class Dell Latitudes with the stock Intel HD 3000/5000 chipset. I only tested up to 15 feet but picture was perfect along with audio. I mounted the received with the included velcro behind my Vizio high up on the back of it and have no problems. I noticed that when doing a clone screen or extend screen the video card didnt handle the output to the TV well but when I output all video to the TV, the picture was as perfect as it would have been on my laptop. Bought this for the execs to connect their laptops to the TV for presentations, works great. Probably will get one for my home since its so simple. No drivers required, the USB is only the give the device power to transmit.

Very simple way to send HDMI to a remote display, but the picture does cut-out very briefly from time to time.
This is a very easy way to send HDMI to a remote display - in my case a ceiling mounted projector. It’s not too fussy about the line of sight. I’ve had the sending unit fall behind my entertainment center, without interrupting the picture. The picture does cut out a few times during an evening of viewing. If I had to guestimate the frequency, I would say it cuts out on sverage about once per hour. It only lasts for about 2 seconds each time. It doesn’t bother me, but it was devastating when my son was playing a PS4 FPS game.

This thing is amazing! It needed line of sight to connect
This thing is amazing! It needed line of sight to connect, but after that, I put it behind a cabinet and the connection stayed strong, even with people walking by. I have it hooked up to my projector and it looks flawless. Tried playing with my PS4 and there is absolutely no noticeable lag in competitive shooters and twitch platformers. Audio is clear, it really works exactly as if a physical HDMI cable was connected.

The occasional 30-60 second delay is just annoying. It has cut out a few time
Does what it's supposed to do. Sometimes has a little difficulty establishing a link between the two units, but it does eventually connect. The occasional 30-60 second delay is just annoying. It has cut out a few time, but only maybe 2-3 times in 3-4 months and only for 5-10 seconds each time. Completely bearable considering it's piping an hdmi signal wirelessly across the room to my projector. One other thing, I have noticed a very high pitched whine from the unit at times. I'm pretty sensitive to high frequencies, so it might not happen to everyone.

Works great but that noise...
The device functions exactly as advertised. For reference, my TV and A/V Receiver are about 5 feet apart with a clear line of sight. I like how small the receiver and transmitter are, and I appreciate that the receiver can draw power from your TV's USB port. But I love how easy this device is to use with an A/V Receiver (products like the IOGEAR GW3DHDKIT Wireless 3D Digital Kit need to be connected directly to the devices they're used with). The signal quality is great and seems reliable. What they don't advertise is a high-frequency sound emanating from both the receiver and the transmitter (especially the transmitter!) when they are sync'd up. My ears are sensitive to such noises and this one was a bit nauseating. In addition, I sometimes get migraines, so it wouldn't be a good idea to try to get used to it.Before blindly returning the product, I contacted DVDO customer service about the issue. They got back to me the next day (yay for that!) stating that this is a known issue, one which they hope to fix in a future model.I'm hopeful they'll be able to address the issue soon, but in the meantime, I'll have to look for another product.

Works like a charm. Transmitter at PS3, and receiver at projector. By the way, this is the 2nd set I've purchased. I will say this... I have to have the device plugged into the transmitter on before I turn my projector at the receiver on. Otherwise, it's a headache to get my Acer 6510bd to detect the HDMI source. Otherwise, the qualify of the product and it's production is fantastic!

Not bad, but not great
This device is worth looking at if you have a situation where you need wireless HDMI, but really, if you can run a wire you should. It can work, but it also can have a lot of problems, sometimes ones that don't manifest right away. It isn't an "all or nothing" proposition. It may "work" as in "function but have lots of issues." You really can't know except to try it in your setup. So let's start off with what's good about it:--Really transmits (or at least tries to) full bandwidth 1920x1080@60Hz 8-bit 4:4:4 HDMI signals. It looks just like a cable to your devices, they just see the unit on the other end, no special tricky business in the middle. It'll pass any signal, any audio, HDCP, basically anything an HDMI 1.2 device can do.--Syncs up easy with no issues. When the transmitter and receiver are both on, and the devices attached to them are on, they'll pass a signal. They just hook and work, you don't need to mess with it.Now for the bad:--It can have odd problems during operation, perhaps related to transmission problems, but it is hard to tell. In my setup I was delighted to find it linked up and displayed an image right away, no issue. Wonderful! ...except it wasn't. Turns out a number of issues cropped up. Some were strange, like sound worked in 7.1 and 2.0 mode from my PC, but not 5.1 mode. Works fine on the same input and output with an HDMI cable, but no go with the DVDO for some reason. The bigger problem came when the unit was taxed with lots of high motion video. On the desktop and in a simple 2D game, everything was good. However when I fired up a 3D game audio stopped working once in game, and video would drop out whenever the motion got heavy on screen. The unit was just having trouble transmitting everything it needed to, so dropouts happened.--Both units make a fair bit of high frequency noise when video is being passed. It isn't huge, but noticeable when things are quiet.--Not great range, particularly if there are walls and such in the way. I don't count this against the unit, score wise, since it is something you know up front about the 60GHz technology, but should be noted anyhow. So for me, it goes back, because the problems make it not usable. That isn't to say don't get one, just be aware they can be problematic. You'll have to see how they work in your setup. You may get a clear signal, no issues, but you may see it work sometimes, and flip out others, or it may just not work at all. It's a neat device, and can solve some problems, but a general wire replacement it is not.

Great product, does what it's meant to, however two small downsides.
I bought this as I wanted to have a floor clear of wires. (My current set up with my PC was near my TV with HDMI cable and Ethernet to the router on the other side of the room!) I set this up between my PC, which is on one side of the room and my big screen TV, which is on the other side - it was quite literally plug and play and after a small delay (about 5 seconds) the picture came through on my TV as if my PC was plugged in directly with a normal HDMI lead. I was very surprised at the quality - very HD and no latency or lag whatsoever, I tested watching a film as well as playing a game. I've only given the product 4 starts for two downsides. One is that the plugs seemed to be US with EU adapters with no UK adapter in sight, however both my PC and TV were able to power both receiver and transmitter via USB, which was handy! The second downside is that there is an intermittent high pitch whine coming from both units. I wouldn't consider myself to have sensitive hearing, but it is noticeable when it happens. This product would be perfect if the devs could sort out that noise.

Potential 5 star item but......
This 3 stars isnt entirley fair and before you judge this item on my score please read on.This item is an awesome bit of kit, it's easy to setup, works "perfectly" and DVDO 's customer service is second to none however.... I'm not entirely sure that this is compatible with Sky HD.The picture constantly broke up and blue screened. I tried the unit on 2 TVS and used multiple HDMI cables to rule out any problems but to no avail. I concluded that the problem is with sky's equipment and I believe they put security in their products that will not allow you to output a signal that may be potentially used as unauthorised multiroom. The PS4 worked perfectly with no lag or connection issues ruling out any problems with the unit itself.Quite a shame really because I recently redecorated and i really didn't want to run a really long hdmi cable across my front room in D Line Conduit which I have had to do.

Not terrible but not perfect
This works but only in perfect line of sight and upto about 5 metres. It works about 90% of the time if you have it inside 4-5 metres but for the cost I would have expected it to work 100% of he time and through thin walls.

Works really well, Just one thing, the power ...
Works really well, Just one thing, the power supplies are not UK power supplies. But I had standard ones laying around. Picture is spot on
