Does this iron cause constipation?

Orally, iron can cause G.I. upset, abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea, nausea or vomiting. G.I. adverse effects are uncommon at doses below the tolerable upper intake level (UL) of 45 mg per day.

What are the ingredients for this supplement?

vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 175 mg (292%)iron (as iron glycinate and 50% as iron asparate) 15 mg (83%)ascorbyl palmitate (fat-soluble vitamin C) 3 mgother ingredients: hypo-allergenic plant fiber (cellulose), vegetarian capsule (cellulose, water)

Why are these so much smaller they used to be?

External size does not matter as long as it contains the right amounts of iron and Vitamin C.

Is this shellfish free?

If a Pure Encapsulations' product contains ingredients that are derived from major allergens, such as soy, dairy or shellfish, it is prominently labeled and the term "hypoallergenic" is removed from the statement of identity on the product label. The Iron-C is labeled as hypoallergenic and so is shellfish free.
