Do Not buy this float switch
I bought two of these for my well water holding tank. I installed them and within a two weeks water was over flowing in my pump room. I bought a replacement float switch and within two weeks my holding tank was over flowing again. That’s what I woke up to this morning. I cut one open and the switch inside is small and cheap against the steel ball inside. These are junk and should be pulled from being sold anywhere. You will have failure on it guaranteed. The worst part is they know they will fail quickly, but sell them anyways.

Works well as a dry pump warning system
I add these to clients cisterns to stop the pump from running dry and burning out. However a relay sound be used in between the pump and float as the power emitted by the pump turning on will probably damage the float switch

Very well made and perfect for my application.
This works perfectly to automatically turn on a sump pump. Switch is very good quality and the cord is extra long. Amazing product for the price. Would buy again, but I probably won't have to, since this switch will most likely last forever.
