very good product ( there is an update)
usually I use another brand...but I decided to give it a try with this brand of silicone ...I use it to make molds out of real crystals and then I use the molds to fill it with resin.... the package is very practical. no smell... part a and b are not that viscous so it's very easy to pour. easy to mix within 3 minutes everything is ready..and you will see it because there are different in colour, one is white and the other is purple.... no bubbles....so you don't need a vacuum chamber .... after pouring you wait 6 hours...I left it over night and next day I removed it...it was very easy... and then I poured the resin and after it cured there was no problem releasing the resin piece from the mold and it picked up all the details and shine from the original crystal...so over all it was a success ...so if I have any update i will share it but for now everything went so smoothly ... here is an update....they said the working time is 30 min and cure time is 6 hours.....for me the working time is 10 min and the curing time is 3 hours.....i live in a place when the temperature in my house is 25 C..... so maybe that's why it's curing fast...other than that it's ok....i'm using it for resin and it's working great.

Seems a good fit for beginners at least...
First off, I'm no silicon mold expert. I bought this for the missus who wanted something she could to make molds for use with resin. She was a bit nervous about attempting to mold without a vacuum chamber, but this stuff seemed to work great. Three molds (one of which was waaaay too thick but can't knock the product for that, it's just a learning experience). Mixed up great, cured in the time mentioned, and captured plenty of detail with no bubbles or issues. The resulting molds were nice and durable and will last us quite some time I imagine. Will definitely be looking into more of this when the time comes.

Fun and easy
I opted for this to try for my first molding experience cos it was the cheapest one I could find. I was pleasantly surprised that if you follow the directions to the letter then you will get really decent results. I made napkin ring molds by placing the napkin rings onto some rolled out plasticine, then used disposable plastic cups with the bottom cut off as my dam. Once the molds were cured, I then cast them with epoxy resin. I had a couple of gripes tho, firstly, as others have mentioned, what's with the lids that don't screw back on? It's literally impossible to keep the containers sealed with the inner lid. I had loads and loads of bubbles but most of them went away during curing altho some stayed, they were on the outside of the mold. I tried to contact customer service but these guys don't seem to have any online existence that I could find. Some tips: - Be prepared, by the time you are ready to start mixing you should have your work ready to mold. - If you're not using the entire amount, then mix in a plastic bowl. I used an old take out container. - Stir SLOWLY, fast stirring causes bubbles. - I didn't see any mention of this in the instructions but do not stir the product with silicone tools or wooden paddles, it won't mix properly. Instead, use an old metal knife you don't use anymore or a plastic knife. Once it cures, the silicone will peel right off. - Don't use a silicone mats on your work area, this stuff literally melted off some spots on my mat and turned it into a gel like form that never cured. - Pour from a good height, like a long string almost, it helps eliminate some of the bubbles. - Clean up wasn't awful, just let your tools cure in the bowl and you will be able to peel it off. - Double glove - use one set for mixing and pouring, then remove them and you will have a set already on to clean up with. Don't use alcohol to clean uncured silicone without gloves on, it will leach into your skin. All in all a good experience. I will try a platinum silicone next to see if that's better for me since I will be casting epoxy resin, the translucent silicone will make it better for me to see through the mold (for example, my snowflakes weren't distributed well during my epoxy pour but it was difficult to see given this silicone rubber is purple).

Amazing mold making kit
I love this silicone mold, making kit. The quality of the product is amazing, however, additional supplies are needed in order to ensure molds are made correctly. If I had to critique the kit, the only suggestion I would say, would be to create a different packaging method, as it is sometimes difficult to measure out the two by pouring the silicone part, a and part B into measuring containers, and by scooping measuring spoons or cups into the containers risks the chance of possible cross-contamination of other materials but overall this is my number one best silicone kit I’ve ever used and probably the most affordable on the market at the moment and still have molds created from this kit that are holding up from when my friend, let me test out, there’s prior to me purchasing and the molds are still working to the quality that they were from the first day.

Product is great but why don't they fill the containers to the fill line??
I had never made silicon molds before and this was very easy to work with and I got excellent results. On my first order the containers were about 3/4 full. I kind of knew to expect that based on other reviews so it wasn't a big deal. Got my second order today. Containers are LESS than HALF full. Another reviewer experienced the exact same thing with their second order so why am I surprised? The product itself gets five stars but it IS a rip off when they don't fill the containers properly. If I were to order a third time would the containers only be 1/4 full? I probably won't find out because I am unlikely to reorder!

Love this stuff!
I've ordered twice now for making molds of quartz & borax crystals for resin and like the other reviewer, find it very easy to work with. Mine arrived with each tub only partially full, but I believe that is so you can use the containers for mixing the entire amount, if desired. I've mixed as small as a 4 oz. batch and up to 10oz, with equally great results. It is important to premix each part before mixing together if they have been sitting for any period of time. I have about 15-20 minutes of work time in a room in the 74-79 degree F room. Set up is usually in 4-6 hours. I do check in the first hour a few times to run a toothpick over the top to pop any bubbles that rise. Unlike resin, bubbles within the mold do not seem to be a problem; they all rise to the surface. DO NOT ADD HEAT! It will damage your silicone. The bubbles naturally rise. Clean up is kinda fun - just leave it to cure (plastic cups & use a plastic utensil to stir) and peel off when cured!

Amazingly durable
I bought this silicone a while back for making dice molds, and it does a great job. The main reason I chose this silicone was because it uses a 1:1 mixing ratio as opposed to having to add X drop of catalyst to Y ounces of silicone. Not only are the molds durable, they also capture all of the fine details that I need. Of course, while the silicone is thin enough to remove most air bubbles, it would still be a good idea to put it in either a vacuum chamber or a pressure pot while it cures just in case. Also, for all of those wondering, this silicone is platinum cured. This means that it will not cure properly when poured over a positive made using a resin 3D printer. Well, not unless you apply a specialized coating first.

Disappointed
This is the second time I’ve bought this product in the last year. The first time was great, even though the containers were larger than what was actually in it, I didn’t mind since it gave me room to mix the two even after pouring everything, it even had measuring alongside the label which is a cool addition for future uses. Cured nice and strong with no bubbles. The second time the package arrived and after opening it, I saw that it was leaking from the box the silicone containers came in. Whoever packaged it saw that it was a mess, with liquid silicone on the lid, container, and box and decided it was acceptable to send it like that. Aside from that, the containers are a lot smaller than before, the liquid silicone reaches to barely the top. I understand them switching to smaller containers, but you can’t pour and mix the two like before and it didn’t come with that measuring anymore. I attached a pic of the containers before and after since I still have them.
