I think it treats 250 gallons but the products website has detailed info and is a good read. I love the pre-g for gas. I don't run the truck for weeks at a time so it is good insurance. The pre-g refreshes and keeps gas for at least 3-4 years. Refreshes winter gas. So far I like it. I hope that helps. Good luck

What is the shelf life of both the gas and diesel product?

Well that question depends on a couple factors.
One, your location, I've found that the closer you are to sea level the less condensation and breakdown occurs. 
Second, how you store it, say jugs or a tank in the ground.
The fuel itself....gas, figure a year, possibly more - untreated. Diesel, a couple years, again, untreated.
PRI-D and G, keeps that breakdown from happening. Remember with diesel, if its been sitting for a long time to filter it, it at times has the capacity to grow slime. Just use a nylon knee high, that works well.

Is this good for storing diesel over the winter. Does it stop algae and other diesel storage problems?

I add it to my 80 gallon tank in my shed as I fill it.  I use maybe 25 gallons a year.  I haven’t had algae problems but, the biggest thing is moisture - if you keep the water out of the fuel - you’ll be good.  I also add lubricity & cetane boost.

if u over fill with this product,,, any issues?

Depends on how much you overfull, say a lot, like 2 or 3 times the amount.
All you need to do before you use it is cut it with more untreated fuel.
