I bought this to be able to use without wifi. It only translates to and from Chinese to other languages off line.I traveled to Japan and it only worked in the hotel where the staff spoke English. It was a waste of money.

I was initially very impressed with its translation capability, but it stopped powering on after less than 1 week of use. Connected to Amazon service via online chat and was told to press the power button long enough to try again, but I have tried many times and charged more than just a few hours, and the device is still dead. I was promised to get new updates by Amazon service and they need to contact the seller. After 4 days, I received the message from the seller that asked me to "press the power button for 20 seconds", which is essentially the same thing that I have told Amazon service that it did not work. I am returning this for refund and let's see how that went. Will keep viewers updated. UPDATE: the refund process is pretty smooth and received full refund in several days after mailing the return.

Great translator it's correct most of the time and is great in that it can translate on the go anytime anywhere because it fits right into your pocket.
