Weld-On 80103 White Soft Seal Plumbers Putty, 3 Poly Tub

This quantity is much more than I need, but better too much of the right product than asking for trouble with the wrong product! This hard to find plumber's putty is rated to work on ABS plastic - very commonly used for sink drains. If you look at other products, please make sure that it specifically says that it is rated for the type of plastic you want to use it for! This Weld-On Soft Seal Stain-Free Plumber's Putty is the MOST compatible product of it's kind! (No, I don't have a vested interest in promoting this product - it's just the best one out there!)

Color is not white - it is off white. Looks dirty under stopper in sink

I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent purchase of Weld-ON 80103 Soft Seal Stain-Free Plumber's Putty. The product itself is excellent and performs as a 5-star item. It is extremely malleable, easy to work with, and effectively fills gaps—especially when tightening duo strainers. I was particularly impressed that it leaves no oil stains on stainless steel and remains easy to clean. It offers great value for the money and appears to be quite durable. However, I was disappointed with the condition in which the product arrived. Due to insufficient packaging and a flimsy plastic container, the item was broken upon delivery. While the putty itself is stellar, the packaging did not provide adequate protection during transit. Overall all, the product is very versatile and it appears that it never dries, which is a big plus for this purpose!

I ordered "White" putty because I wanted the product to be "white". However, the container said White Soft Seal Plumbers Putty, but the product was grey, just like any other putty. I returned the order, "very disappointed in what I consider false advertising!
