Didn't hold up to heavy use.
*Update* I've purchased this same drill twice because the boys really like it, but it just doesn't hold up. Both broke in less than a year. This is one of five different kinds of power drills they've collected and it by far goes the fastest and is the easiest to use (and is one of the most realistic looking, second only to the Bosch) so that's why I bought a replacement after the first one broke in about 6-9 months. The second one lasted about the same amount of time. It was their favorite drill so it was used and abused the most, but even still all the other drills are still going strong. I don't think I'm going to go for a third one, but if you have kids that are gentle with toys or don't mind that it won't last very long, this drill is the best.Original review:Two year old loved this drill. Big smiles: "Just like daddy's!"

Kind of cheapy plastic and a lot of small parts it probably doesn't need. That said, i would buy it again. My toddler loves it, just like daddy's drill and she runs to fetch it and help whenever i start working on something.

A favorite toy ... used a lot ... has not broken
Got this to distract a little brother from his sister's birthday present opening ... Mission accomplished and it has become a favorite toy that two months later is still played with. Very similar to dad's drill/driver ... forward, reverse, removable battery even variable speed (it seems). There is a clutch-like mechanism so even if it jams (e.g. bit is held onto or put on something that doesn't allow it to turn) the drill clicks and does not break or stall. What a great toy for a child who likes machines.

Great toy for a power tool enthusiast
My son loooooves this power drill. It spins in both directions and sounds like the real deal, but luckily it's not strong enough to actually damage anything. My son loves to press it against the wall and furniture to act like he's fixing stuff, but the drill will stop spinning if pressed too hard, which I think is great so little ones can't damage anything. My only suggestion would be to have something on the drill that can actually store the bits, since they seem to get lost easily being loose. Otherwise a great product.

Fun toy! Wish there were a part to hold and screw bolts into. We used a paper plate.

This product works okay my only problem is there isn't enough power for my son to actually screw things together (i.e. toy screws) so he tosses it to the side quickly or tries to steal his dad's drill.

All the craftsman kids tools are the best!! Find them at Kmart for a better deal! My kids have loved this drill and it has held up great. I don't think we've had to replace the batteries yet and we've had this a couple years... :) It really is a lot like daddy's which is great.

Makes my 3 year feel like he is helping Dad!
My 3 year old constantly wants my husbands drill now he has his own. I will say I wish the screws stayed in more snug because I am constantly helping put it back in. He feels important with it and is not as set on getting my husbands. Works great.
