Is this scanner good for 3ad printing in full color? I am looking for a scanner with better resokution than the Kinect

Just to make things clear: this is not a 3D Scanner (Kinect is also not a 3d scanner). This is a RGB-D camera. As for the scanning performance, it will partially depend on the software you intend to use. Also, which Kinect version are we talking about?

Does this camera give better depth perception in images/videos? Or is the "depth" simply collecting the depth data. Does it change image quality?

There are two separate cameras; a standard camera and a depth camera. The depth camera only provides depth images.

Does this come with any kind of privacy filter/door? Or do you just have to unplug it when not in use?

None of the cameras inside this have privacy doors, but a post-it note works well to cover all the lenses

Is there software to create 3D scan of face?
